Spartan SR is built for speed and performance. Pull the trigger and Spartan SR immediately jumps on plane and rips across the water to its heart-pounding 50+ mph top speed! There’s nothing else like it and nothing holding you back. If a wave pitches the wrong direction, self righting is on board and within seconds, Spartan SR is back to extreme, full-throttle fun.
SELF-RIGHTING SECURITY
Self righting is more than a convenience feature, it’s an all-access pass to exploit Spartan’s full 50+ mph fury. Boaters of all skill levels will enjoy the confidence-inspiring security of self righting. There’s no need to back off the throttle or tone down the action. Just pin the throttle and Spartan SR takes care of the rest.

Spartan SR’s deep-V ABS hull carefully balances speed with agility for a truly thrilling driving experience. A new electronics layout and battery tray drastically improve handling precision by concentrating the weight inboard along the centerline. The result is razor-sharp handling, no-lift turns, and superior high-speed stability.
50+ MPH SPEED
Grab a fistful of throttle and Spartan SR’s VXL-6s™ Marine power system transforms 22+ volts of LiPo power into furious acceleration. The high-performance prop digs in, getting the boat on plane quickly and efficiently as it slices through the water at speeds of 50 mph and beyond.
Self-Righting Flood Chamber
If Spartan SR flips over, the flood chamber immediately begins filling with water until the boat rights itself. A molded foam insert in the bow provides excess buoyancy. Once Spartan has righted itself, hit the throttle to drive away and the water in the flood chamber instantly exits the rear of the boat. The entire process takes only seconds and Spartan is back in the action.
High Performance Deep-V Hull
Spartan’s 36" deep-V hull gives Spartan SR extra stability to cut through chop and catch air over breakers. Constructed of lightweight ABS, the hull is built to withstand the stress of high-voltage brushless horsepower. Molded foam is form-fitted inside the bow for extra flotation and stiffening of the hull.
Sealed Clipless Hatch
Spartan SR’s injection-molded hatch offers superior rigidity and precise fitment. Locking hatch nuts at all four corners secure the hatch tightly with a quick turn and positive engagement. Simply unlock the nuts with the included hatch nut tool for easy access to the electronics. No matter how rough the action gets, the hatch stays firmly in place until you release it.
VXL-6s Marine Power System
Extreme Velineon brushless horsepower delivers the muscle you want with the reliability you expect from Traxxas. The VXL-6s Marine electronic speed control maximizes the potential of the Velineon 540XL motor for extreme 50+ mph speed. The 540XL brushless motor delivers water-boiling torque and high-rpm performance with minimal maintenance.
TQi™ Radio System
The high-output Traxxas TQi 2.4 GHz radio system delivers superior range, precision, and control. It is Traxxas Link™ enabled so you can add the optional Wireless Module (part 6511, sold separately) to monitor temperature and speed using your smart phone (sensors sold separately).
Traxxas Stability Management (TSM)
TSM® acts like a reassuring hand when you need it to help harness Spartan SR’s brutal 6s power for maximum acceleration and top-speed passes. With a hull as stable and predictable as Spartan’s, you may find that you don’t even need it. TSM lets you adjust the amount of assistance from off to 100% right from your transmitter.
Electronics Tray
Spartan SR’s electronics and power system bolt securely to the rigid tray for easy removal and maintenance. Detach the steering linkage, flex cable, and stuffing tube and then remove the screws to lift out the entire unit. No other boat makes it so easy to access the hull interior and electronics.
Adjustable Battery Positioning
Spartan SR’s new battery tray relocates batteries centrally to the lowest part of the hull for drastically improved stability. The tray’s generous 218 mm length is used to trim the hull by positioning the batteries fore or aft. Hook and loop straps accommodate multiple battery configurations while securing them tightly in place.

Transport your Spartan or DCB-M41 to the lake in style with this fully detailed scale replica triple-axle trailer (sold separately). Spartan SR’s hull features an integrated eye to use with the optional winch hook for a truly authentic boating experience.

Spartan's prop gets the hull on plane quickly to reach maximum speed with the least current draw. Traxxas engineers tested countless prop configurations to find the perfect balance of performance, efficiency, and durability. Molded composite construction makes the prop light and tough, with no balancing or sharpening required.
High Strength Aluminum Hardware
Spartan’s rudder and drive strut are machined from tough 6000-series aluminum for maximum strength and then anodized vivid blue for that unmistakable Traxxas look. The drive strut uses special bushings for corrosion-free performance and features an oiling hole for easy maintenance.
Stainless Steel Hex Hardware
Spartan uses corrosion-resistant stainless-steel and nickel-plated hardware throughout for good looks, easy maintenance, and long-lasting performance.

Water Cooling System
A pickup in the aluminum rudder sends cooling water to the motor and ESC. A sealed motor jacket flows water directly around the aluminum can for maximum heat transfer. This efficient design helps Spartan keep its cool, run after run, for trouble-free all-day fun.
High Torque Waterproof Servo
Spartan requires a powerful steering servo for responsive performance, and Traxxas delivers with the 2056 high-torque servo. O-ring seals make the servo completely waterproof, and there's plenty of steering muscle with 80 oz-in of torque at your command.
Heavy Duty Flex Shaft
Spartan’s new heavy duty 4.7 mm flex shaft is 25% larger in diameter for the ultimate in power handling and reliability. Additionally, Spartan’s new electronics tray maximizes efficiency by moving the motor further back for a shorter and more direct path to the prop.
Quick-Release Flex Cable
Spartan SR’s clamping collet holds the flex cable tightly and centers it perfectly with the motor's output shaft for smooth, efficient operation. The collet releases quickly with a twist of the included wrench for easy maintenance. Once loosened, the prop and flex cable simply slide out, making it easy to keep your Spartan SR running in peak form.
Velineon 540XL Motor
The 1800 Kv Velineon 540XL motor is optimized for maximum power and efficiency in marine applications with ultra high-temperature sintered neodymium magnets, a precision-balanced rotor, and high-speed ball bearings.
Sealed Receiver Box
Traxxas' patented waterproof receiver box routes wires neatly through a special watertight seal. A blue O-ring allows easy access to the receiver box without losing its sealing properties.

Self Righting Flood Chamber
If Spartan SR should land keel-up in the water, an inlet at the top of the hull begins filling the flood chamber with water. The weight of the water pulls the boat to one side until it rights itself. Apply throttle to evacuate the flood chamber and you’re back in the action. The whole process takes only seconds and requires no special technique or skill.
Adjustable Battery Tray
Spartan’s adjustable center battery tray holds a variety of different LiPo batteries. Convenient hook-and-loop straps and foam pads secure the batteries tightly to prevent load shift, even under the roughest conditions.
Built-In Foam Flotation
Spartan SR’s built-in foam flotation ensures the boat maintains proper buoyancy while self righting. In addition to making Spartan SR virtually unsinkable, the fitted foam insert adds extra rigidity to the bow.
