New GTR Shocks
Rustler’s ultra-plush ride comes courtesy of new composite GTR shocks on all four corners. GTR shocks hold over 70% more oil than standard Ultra Shocks for consistent damping performance. X-ring seals keep oil in and dirt out for smooth suspension compression and rebound. Spring preload and ride height changes are as simple as turning the threaded collar and the spring retainers are captured with a screw so they can't pop off.
New Metal-Gear Servo
Rustler 2WD Brushless needs a fast and powerful steering servo to match its quick reflexes and agile handling. A new upgraded servo delivers 15% more torque with the superior durability of an all-metal gear train. Rustler also receives an improved bellcrank steering assembly with a cam-operated servo saver to enhance steering precision and protect the servo from impacts.
New Clipless Body
Rustler’s new clipless body features more aggressive styling and a molded rear wing borrowed from Rustler 4X4. Heavy-duty latches grip the body tightly for rough-and-tumble action, but release in just seconds for fast battery swaps. This convenient hidden latching system replaces traditional body clips with reinforced panels to maintain body integrity and resist pull-through damage.
Improved Suspension Performance
Traxxas engineers recalibrated Rustler’s suspension to maximize performance across all surfaces. The result is an ultra-plush ride that soaks up bumps to put Rustler’s massive brushless power to the ground. Rustler’s long-travel suspension and new GTR shocks dramatically improve suspension compliance. Rigid shock towers with reinforcement bracing reduce the amount of flex transferred to the chassis.
Clipless Body Mounting
Rustler’s tough clipless body holds firm no matter how rough the action gets. Heavy-duty latches grip the body tightly, but release in just seconds to access the chassis. Traxxas Stability Management
Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) works behind the scenes to harness Rustler’s extreme 3s brushless horsepower. TSM maximizes acceleration and braking by keeping Rustler arrow straight without pulling power or dulling throttle response, even on low-traction surfaces. TSM can also be switched off directly from the TQi Sport transmitter.

A wheelie bar is an absolute necessity for a vehicle with the out-of-the-box 60+ mph speed and wheel-standing torque of Rustler 2WD Brushless. The wheelie bar is positioned perfectly to allow massive wheelies while keeping Rustler under your control. An integrated carry handle allows quick and easy transport to your next adventure.
Extreme HD Driveshafts
Rustler’s Extreme HD driveshafts are beefed up in critical areas to handle the outrageous power of the Velineon 3s brushless power system. The large-diameter half shafts offer excellent articulation and suspension travel while putting massive torque to the ground.
Velineon V3200 Motor
Designed for 3-cell LiPo batteries, the V3200 motor is optimized for extreme power and efficiency with a large 5 mm output shaft. Ultra-high temperature sintered Neodymium magnets provide massive torque and linear power. The unique low-maintenance design features high-speed ball bearings and an integrated cooling fan for consistent power, run after run.
VX3 Electronic Speed Control
The fully waterproof VX3 ESC transforms 11.1 volts of LiPo power into 60+ mph performance with the simplicity of Traxxas’ EZ-Set®
3-Channel TQi Sport Receiver
The TQi Sport receiver is compatible with all TQi and TQi Sport transmitters. A built-in failsafe returns the throttle to neutral and holds the steering in the last known position in the event of a signal loss.

Clipless Battery Strap
Rustler holds batteries securely in place with the convenience of a rugged clipless battery strap. Swing the heavy-duty strap up and out of the way to swap batteries. Once loaded, just snap the tab into the latch and your battery stays secure until you release it.
Metal Gear Servo
Rustler features a new metal-gear servo with 15% more torque than the standard servo and the durability of an all-metal gear train. The new servo delivers quick, precise control with the security and convenience of fully waterproof construction.
Bellcrank Steering

Reinforced Shock Towers
Rustler’s shock towers feature structural reinforcement bracing to minimize flex and provide a rigid mounting point for the body. Reducing flex allows the suspension to soak up bumps without upsetting the chassis for a smooth and controlled ride.

32-Pitch Gearing
Rustler is built for extreme power with a large 5 mm motor output shaft and 32-pitch pinion and spur gears. Nearly 1.5x larger than standard 48-pitch gears, Rustler's 32-pitch gears deliver maximum durability with reliable, long-lasting performance.
Torque-Control Slipper Clutch
The Torque-Control™ slipper clutch uses special semi-metallic friction material and finned aluminum alloy pressure plates to dissipate heat and provide consistent traction control. Spur gears can be removed and replaced without altering the slipper adjustment.
Rubber-Sealed Ball Bearings
Rubber-sealed bearings offer the ultimate in super low-friction performance and maximum protection in dusty environments. They are used in all exposed locations on the truck and are virtually maintenance free.
Planetary Gear Differential
The composite planetary gear differential features a steel ring gear for long life. It uses hardened steel internal gears for maximum strength during rigorous off-road bashing.
