Off the track, the realism continues with tilt-up licensed bodies developed from the full size CAD drawings, tube style chassis, super-sticky belted slicks, and accurate detailing. The front latch eliminates body clips for fast access to the battery compartment. The full suspension system is engineered to give the Traxxas NHRA Funny Car the ability to handle the ruts and bumps of real world track surfaces. Combined with the Traxxas DTS-1 Drag Timing System (sold separately) and the Traxxas Link application and Traxxas drag racing becomes a full-on simulation with timing so accurate, races are won and lost by a millisecond. Realistic "Tube" Chassis
The steel, welded-tube construction of the full-size John Force Racing Funny Cars is replicated by the Traxxas NHRA Funny Car's gleaming black-chrome chassis. Details including the front-mounted fuel tank (non-functional, of course) and driver's roll cage give the Funny Car authentic looks to match its realistic performance. The wheelie bar is a functional tuning aid that helps the Funny Car transfer weight to the rear wheels for a perfect launch.

Traxxas Stability Management^®


Traxxas Stability Management TSM^® allows you to experience all the extreme power, speed, and acceleration that was engineered into the Traxxas Funnycar making it much easier to control on common slippery surfaces such as loose dirt, dust and even smooth concrete. Punch it off the line and TSM goes to work sensing the vehicle’s direction and making steering corrections to provide straight-ahead full-throttle acceleration without fishtailing, spinouts, and loss of control. TSM also works during cornering, first making intuitive corrections to maintain your line, and then allowing you to hammer the throttle earlier in the turn for much faster exit speeds. Braking is dramatically improved as TSM works to keep you arrow straight until you come to a complete stop. TSM acts as your on-board co-pilot in the vehicle that “feels” what the vehicle is doing and makes corrections for vehicle movements that you cannot even detect, well before the vehicle gets out of control.

Traxxas TSM gives you all the benefits modern electronic stabilization has to offer without intruding on your driving fun. Traxxas engineers developed superior tuning algorithms that run on high-speed, precision electronic components to create a system that works invisibly, in the background, without ever limiting your throttle. The DTS-1 Drag Timing System unfolds and turns any strip of smooth asphalt into your own personal drag strip. Everything has been scaled to re-create the entire drag racing experience with as much accuracy and realism as possible. The center point is the authentic Christmas tree with its super bright LED display and modern stage light configuration.

Dual beams on the starting line allow competitors to pre-stage and stage with laser precise accuracy. Depending on your quickness and skill, you can select either a pro or sportsman tree for the countdown. When the lights go green, the race is on; but don't jump the start or you'll be disqualified!
