Slash’s pre-installed Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit replaces key drivetrain and suspension components with beefed-up parts made for ultimate strength and durability. From HD suspension arms to the steel wheel hubs, this is the strongest driveline ever offered in a Slash.
Slash 4X4’s tough clipless body holds firm no matter how rough the action gets. Heavy-duty latches grip the body tightly, but release in just seconds to access the chassis. Slash’s hidden latching system replaces time-consuming and inconvenient body clips with large reinforced panels to resist pull-through damage.
Slash’s oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilize X-rings for a perfect seal and super-smooth performance. Adjust the ride height and pre-load on the white powder-coated progressive springs with the included spacer clips. Ultra Shocks are fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons available.
Slash’s long 12.75″ wheelbase chassis increases high-speed stability with nearly 3″ of center ground clearance to avoid high-centering. The chassis includes drain holes, and bosses for mounting the optional Velineon® 3s Brushless Power System.
Tough integrated chassis nerf bars offer side body support and help absorb the shocks that occur during door-to-door racing action.
Slash 4X4 has huge amounts of seemingly bottomless, ultra-plush suspension travel to swallow up jumps and delivers incredible rough-track control. Performance-optimized suspension components provide maximum articulation without binding or interference.
Slash’s waterproof receiver box keeps the receiver safe and dry while still allowing easy access for maintenance. The antenna and servo wires route neatly through a patented water-tight seal for true all-weather fun.
The patented High-Current Connectors funnel maximum power to the vehicle’s electronics. High-Current Connectors also provide the quickest, safest charge for Traxxas batteries.
In the event of signal loss due to an accidental transmitter switch-off or depleted batteries, the receiver automatically returns the throttle to neutral and holds the last commanded steering position. The fail-safe programming is conveniently built-in and does not need to be activated.
The Traxxas 2056 steering servo provides powerful steering authority on tough terrain with 80 oz-in of steering muscle. The fully-waterproof servo uses special O-ring seals to keep the fun going even when things get wet.
Slash’s tires offer excellent grip in the dirt and just the right amount of slide on pavement. The tires and race-tuned foam inserts come pre-glued on tough 2.2″ Split-Spoke SCT wheels with simulated beadlock rings
Slash 4X4’s battery hold-down secures 2-cell LiPo batteries, 6 or 7-cell NiMH battery packs, or 7-cell hump NiMH packs for maximum versatility. An optional tall battery hold-down kit (5827X, sold separately) accommodates oversized batteries.
Slash 4X4’s dual-bellcrank design pivots smoothly even in the harshest conditions. An integrated cam-type servo saver protects the steering servo from crash impacts without sacrificing steering precision

Sealed steel-gear differentials are ready to handle brushless power without costly upgrades. Silicone gaskets and X-ring seals allow the differentials to be tuned for specific running conditions by varying the viscosity of the oil inside them.
