TQi Transmitter 50/50 and 70/30 Throttle Adjustment Switch
Find Out How to Use the 70/30 Switch on Your Transmitter
If you’re using an older TQi™ transmitter you may be wondering about that switch on the side with markings for 70/30 and 50/50. You may think that switching it to 70/30 unleashes a massive power boost to destroy your competition. In fact, the switch does not affect the overall speed of your vehicle in any way and you should never move the position of the switch while the vehicle is powered on. If it doesn’t affect speed, what does it do? Watch this helpful video to learn how it works.

The throttle neutral adjustment switch can give you more precise control over forward throttle. The standard position is in 50/50 mode. That means the neutral setting (no throttle) is directly in the middle. 50% of the trigger movement is reserved for forward throttle, and 50% is reserved for reverse. When you move the switch into the 70/30 position, 70% of the trigger's movement goes toward forward movement with only 30% for reverse. This allows for finer throttle control in forward, but it makes reverse more abrupt. This is a good setting for competitive racing where precise throttle control is important, but braking is rarely used.
