Sledge® is an entirely new 1/8 scale truck built to a higher standard. It’s only fitting that Sledge also receive a new power system. The Velineon VXL-6s speed control features new hardware and new tuning tailored specifically for Sledge and its all-new 2000kV brushless motor. Together they deliver substantially more power under the curve for increased mid-range punch and acceleration you can see and feel. This new power system is the most potent and advanced Velineon power system yet.
More Power Across the RPM Range
Some manufacturers protect their drivetrain by dialing back the initial power, leading to a slow and sluggish response. Sledge’s super-duty drivetrain doesn’t need this treatment. That allowed Traxxas engineers to dial the power up to 11. Whether you’re launching off the line, pouring it on while exiting a turn, or rolling into a speed run, Sledge responds instantly without hesitation, reaching speeds over 55mph out of the box and 70+mph with optional gearing. All you feel is smooth linear power throughout the entire RPM range.

Velineon 2000kV Motor
Traxxas developed Sledge’s all-new Velineon 2000kV motor with data from countless hours of real-world testing. The 75 mm motor can acts as a heatsink and it houses a new, longer rotor stack with high-strength Neodymium magnets for incredible torque and ultra-precise throttle feel. Cooling fins are machined into the motor housing for cooler running and peak power. Massive 6.5 mm gold-plated connectors ensure voltage flows freely from the speed control to the motor for a 100% 6s power experience.
