Build Your Own On-Road RC Track
Hit The Track With Traxxas!
Building a track to host Spec 4-Tec® racing is simple and cost-effective - the only limits are your imagination and available space. Get started with one of the layouts we have provided here, and even switch it up from race to race to keep the action exciting and fun.
Build a Basic Wood Track
Wooden 2x4s and traffic cones are a low-cost way to build your first basic track. Weights can be added with sandbags, dumbbells, or other heavy items at the corners to prevent the boards from moving when contacted by the cars.

Build an Advanced PVC Track
For a more rigid track, PVC piping is an ideal solution. Use couplers and various lengths of piping to form the layout. Multiple configurations can be built with different combinations, and marking the pieces can make setup even easier.
