Equipping Your TRX-4 With Pro Scale LED Lighting
Traxxas makes it easy to add Pro Scale LED Lighting to your TRX-4 by offering custom-fit installation kits and light kits to fully equip your model with all the required LEDs. Just visit the Pro Scale Lighting Guide, select your model, and you’ll find the specific items required to give your 4X4 the full Pro Scale Lighting treatment.
The Pro Scale Lighting Module mounts to the chassis and is the heart of lighting system. It connects to the speed control’s red mini plug for power, and plugs into the receiver so your throttle, steering, and brake commands can trigger the turn signals, brake lights, and reverse lights. To configure and operate the Pro Scale Lighting System remotely via the Traxxas Link App, a TQi receiver and hookup with the Maxx Link Cable are required.
Adding Telemetry to Your TRX-4
The Telemetry Expander is the heart of the Traxxas Link telemetry system. You can get the expander with or without a GPS module, and the module is available separately so you can add it anytime. To install the expander in your TRX-4, you’ll need 6561 mount. It installs between the chassis rails in just a few minutes.
Adding Gauges
Tap the dashboard to access the editing controls, then tap the gauge position where you would like to add, remove, or edit a gauge. When linked to your TRX-4, the app will automatically locate installed telemetry sensors when you tap the Refresh button on the add-gauge screen. Just tap the sensor you would like the gauge to represent. If you’ve installed a GPS sensor, the sensor does not need to be connected to a satellite for gauge setup. However, you will only receive GPS speed data when you operate your truck outdoors—the GPS module cannot connect to the satellite system if you’re indoors.
