Begin Your RC Experience with a High-Performance Traxxas Brushless Model

Traxxas turned the RC world upside down when it demystified high-output brushless power and made it easy and accessible for everyone with the VXL-edition Rustler, Stampede, and Bandit. For the first time, speeds over 70+ mph were possible with fully assembled, ready-to-run cars and trucks. Since the breakthrough of those original three models, Traxxas expanded the brushless-power lineup to include the Slash and Slash 4X4, Rustler and Stampede 4X4, Hoss 4X4, X-Maxx and more. With top speeds ranging from 50+ mph to over 100 mph, it's no wonder Traxxas is The Fastest Name in Radio Control®. The Traxxas Velineon horsepower that puts such incredible speed within reach also delivers wild wheelies, outrageous dirt-roosting capability, and a mind-melting acceleration you have to experience to believe—when you decide you’re ready.
Training Mode: Start Here
All Traxxas models feature Training Mode, which reduces speed and power by 50% but keeps brakes at full strength so new drivers can focus on learning the controls without having to tip-toe around the model’s full power potential. Training Mode is built into the speed control, and activated simply by pressing the EZ-Set button. Switching Training Mode on or off takes just seconds, so it’s easy to share Traxxas fun with new or less-skilled drivers after you’ve graduated to a full-power pro.
Beginner Battery or Pro Power?
Traxxas models also allow you to choose battery options with higher or lower voltages to tailor performance to skill level. For example, the Rustler VXL’s top speed with a 7.2 volt battery and Training Mode activated is a nice-and-easy 15 mph or so. Deactivate Training Mode and install an 11.1 volt Power Cell LiPo battery, and now that same Rustler VXL is ready to top 55 mph (or 70 mph, with optional speed gearing).

Traxxas Link and Training Mode: The Ultimate in Control
The Traxxas Link wireless module and free Traxxas Link app make Training Mode an even more versatile and easy-to-use feature of your brushless-powered model. Even with speed and power reduced by half, a brushless model with an 11.1 volt LiPo battery on board may be faster than a first-time driver is comfortable operating. Traxxas Link makes it simple to limit speed, and provides a throttle percentage adjustment for custom-tailored control. As skills improve, you can move closer to full power in 1% increments all the way to 100%.

The Training Mode button is on the Home screen for easy, instant access, no navigation required. The transmitter’s Multi-Function Knob sets Training Mode’s throttle percentage. Tap Enter Training Mode and you’re good to go with the new setting.

Drive Like a Pro With TSM
Traxxas Stability Management® (TSM) makes high-performance RC easy and accessible for everyone. Slippery surfaces can make it tricky to drive high-powered RC vehicles without fishtailing or losing control, no matter how experienced the driver. TSM is standard equipment on all Traxxas brushless models and works like the electronic stability systems in full-size cars to greatly improve control. It all happens instantly and invisibly, all you’ll notice is that you can drive faster with greater control. Learn more about TSM
