So I am tuned up pretty well can really jump on it. It has a perfect puff of smoke as I ride around. The only problem is I HAVE to prime it by holding my finger over the tailpipe. I'm used to that, but it seems the lines won't stay primed. They eventually run out of the fuel in the long looped lines and she stalls out. I'm sure it means there is a vacuum leak someplace. Where should I be checking? I'm thinking where the hoses connect to the barbs and maybe the o-ring for the fuel tank lid. Anyplace else? Anyway to test the locations (like in a real car, you can spray carb cleaner on a vac line and the car will sputter)?
Yea it sounds similar to a crack in the hose. When my tank o ring was leaking, I couldn't even start it. You can cut off the ends off the lines if they cracked around where it goes on the nipples.

I'll snip the ends where all the barbs are and reconnect. I also ordered some o-rings (hate having to order tiny items like that, but no LHS for me).
Something similar happened to mine. It was a hairline crack in the carb. Swapped it and it was good.

I've got a RB TM523 engine. I'm pretty sure it is an o-ring. It looked pretty crappy last night.
I cleaned the ring around the tank cap, and snipped all the ends off the tubing (they were brittle) and reattached them. I still had to hold my finger on the exhaust to prime it, but it stayed running now. I'll grab some more fuel tubing though, cuz I'm sure it's all kinda junky. It's sort of old. I gotta do a little tuning now though, because it runs a bit different (probably because there are less leaks). It was fun to tear it up though. Thanks for the comments and tips guys.
