As you know, this sport is fun for many reasons. As sad as it is to break something, I think that is half the fun to disassemble the revo, know how everything works, and get the satisfaction to know you fixed it. Also, I think this would be good for us newer guys to get a good idea of what tends to break the most to have extras on hand! I've already learned of the common breakage points and have extra parts. Also, if I am buying a spare part and its cheap - I'll usually buy two of them so I can have another on hand.
Rear push rod
Front right & left bottom A-arm (never the top, just the bottom).
Rear axle carrier
EZ Start Wiring TWICE! (where it connects to the ez start motor)
glow plug wire (after repeated removing and installing new glow plugs and the wire)
Reverse servo linkage (not sure how this happened)
Reverse servo (as I was screwing on the linkage I broke)
All dust boots (old age)
Cooling head cover
Cooling head fins (ran w/o the plastic engine handle/cover. Bad idea)
Wheels ripping from rim
Pretty much every skid plate under the revo
original revo body
I bash, and I bash hard. Its a lot of rock climbing, mountain climbing, and lose rock/dirt with steep drop off kind of driving. I'm a lot more careful now and have more skill so I haven't broke much lately /
A tip for saving your glow plug wire is to get some heat shrink tube (variety pack) and heat shrink layer after layer till it strengthens the wire.
Off the top of my head in 11 years I've broken:
1 a arm
all parts on a 3.3 motor
ez start systems
gas tank o rings
More stuff I can't remember.
On my Revo I have broken NOTHING. (The truck is a year old, has about 1 1/2 quarts of fuel through it. (I have a 16 month old she takes up most of my spare time)
E-Revo- diffs, tranny cases, a-arms, torn bodies, shredded tires, bumpers, chassis, just about everything.

Traxxas please sell kits!
After six weeks of use and just over a gallon of fuel I have broken the following:
Reverse gear stripped
Other than that, I am seeing wear on my skid plates but that is fairly normal I imagine.
Abuse!!!!......... or is it having fun lol
In no particular order

O.S.21 Nitro Revo, Stampede 4x4, 2 Axial Honcho's
I love broken wheels, there is usually a decent crash and story behind it...
Traxxas please sell kits!
I hit a post at wot onto a front wheel it snapped the upper arm and a snapped one post of the lower arm.
For over a month I used it with cable ties holding the arms together soaked with loctite super glue I kept waiting for it to snap again but it didnt. Then I got some alloy arms for $10us or £6uk off a friend to tide it over but that was over a yr ago. I like them tbh.
I broke reverse fairly quick. (When I flicked the switch it stayed in forward so ide click it back to forward then when it felt like it the thing jumped backwards. I had to lift off the ground to get it back into 1st.
The 3.3 engine piston snapped soon after
Reverse servo stopped working after I removed it????? Mayb I rotated ot by hand I forgot.
Thats about it but ive hardly ran it to be fair mayb an hour n half inbetween other rcs but they came and went the revo will always be here getting better spec'd till I get transport to thrash it somewhere decent other than grass feild.
Those were some sad and gun photos thanks for the share.
I hit a jump wrong at WOT and flipped my truck doing a cartwheel counted 10 times and after a thorough inspection - no damage!
For me its definatley fixing them what I enjoy the most. Driving them is just a side note for sure. If something isnt broke and I am bored i will go crash one and create something to do...LOL seriously! This week alone lets see...
New Radio and receiver
Body post bracket (oh yea they dont like 25 foot jumps very well)
adjusted shocks complete over haul of em etc etc

Your not having fun unless you break it!
I have just broken this;
A tree jumped out from no where.....
I have only just finished the big tank conversion a month ago.
Also the engine moved when I hit a second tree the throttle jammed wide open, took out the spur. I have never heard an engine scream so high.
I dread to think what state the engine is in.

I pull the trigger half way it works fine but when I pull the trigger all the way nothing happens the engine revs up but no power to the wheels, I took the trans apart nothing wrong with it so now I have no idea why it's not going into higher speed
