Crash! BANG! SNAP!...oh look, another broken part that is back-ordered!

Driving aggressively indoors today and came into contact with the corner of a wall...

    The shock took the impact

Good news is; I think I got it temporarily fixed with good ol' superglue!

Traxxas really needs to get these GTR shocks in-stock...

Yeah! I've been driving pretty carefully, its hard to do when I have a mamba micro pro in it.

Yeah, that is definitely a downside to buying a new model. The replacement parts are always lagging behind. Hopefully it holds up until you get a new set. I'm sure there are a lot of other brands that would fit.

    FLM BL E-Maxx - BL Slash - BL 4Tec - 1/16th Fiesta - Wraith - SCX-10 - Custom Axial 6WD - Custom Losi micro Monster Truck - Losi Micro-T Hummer - Custom Losi Micro Peterbilt Crawler - soon '65 Malibu Micro T Drifter

Same happened to me in the first run. I cannot figure out where did I broke it, I had only very few/small impacts. This is really bad to have a brand new truck and cannot even fix it. In my opinion, the shock shaft is way to weak at the inner of the threads for the chosen material. Impacts located directly on the bottom of the spring retained leaves no chance to this rod since it is aligned with the weakest point in the shock, and is not protected. Did anybody figured out a valuable replacement/upgrade for theses shocks that is in-stock somewhere?

That's where the shocks break when you run into something.

Other options for replacement shocks are:
    - Himoto Barren shocks (changed design, compatible ball pins required)
    - Atomik Metal Mulisha shocks (should include everything required)
    - Team Asso RC18 rear shocks (compatible ball pins may be required)
    - Integy rear shocks for RC18 (compatible ball pins required)
