    Dusty Covers Issue

    hello,

Is anyone running a Dustycovers shield with a dewalt?

When I run mine the dewalt gets very hot! I dont have a temp gun, But I can barely touch it after I run a pair of lipos through it. I never crawl in high gear, and when i run without the dusty cover temp seems to be ok.

Any motor will be hotter with shroud on, even brushless. It may not seem like much of a difference, but it reduce airflow significantly. I use it often with zipper open. If you can't hold your hand on motor for more than than 1-2 seconds it is very bad for motor.

I've unzipped during winter snow runs to keep the temps down. That is why I like the Dusty (zipper)...
Would you go flip my truck back over??

Put a Outerwears on mine and my 775 and Dewalt didn't like the added heat even when it was 8f out. Dewalt I was running 18t pinion which is a tad high.

Im running a 17t pinion and stock spur, but whats the point of having it on if its unzippered? Does it still keep the snow and mud out??

    Thanks

I also bought the Dusty Motors Shroud but used it only one time because 775 Motor and ESC are getting too hot for my liking.
