    Anyone running 4x4 mip x duty rear half safts on a 2x4

    Title pretty much says it all.

    I know there are different mip part numbers between the 2x4 and 4x4.

    I'm 99% sure the last time I went to my local hobby shop they sold me traxxas stock 4x4 rear half shafts because they were stronger.

    Assuming that is true I would think I could run 4x4 mip stuff on a 2x4.

    Thanks.

    pretty sure the rear 4x4 and the 2wd are the same

    if you click on the exploded views for both products, they redirect to the same page and part numbers

    http://miponline.com/store/mip11104.html is for the 2wd

    http://miponline.com/store/mip11109.html is for the 4wd rear

    both have an MSRP of $75

    the fronts of the 4x4 are different due to the stub axle and how it sits into the bearing

    The only difference between the 2X4 and 4X4 (according to MIP) is the part number for the male portion of the bones.

    2X4 = 11105 and 4X4 = 10134. The other parts of both kits (2X4 and 4X4) are the same.

    Google is failing me in telling me the difference between 11105 and 10134.

    ok, so the 11105 seems to be a lot longer than the other...... which is weird, considering the arms are the same on the 4wd and 2wd rears......

    10134 is for the slash 4wd ---- which is weird because it is the same as the stampede 4wd and 2wd stampede rears.......

    Longer by .85" now that I look into it a little more.

    That's quite a bit in my book (that's what she said ha ha ).

    I guess I should just pay more (Amazon) for the 2X4 ones than chancing it with the 4X4 ones.
