Hello, just bought my first rc ever, a nitro rustler ! Very glad except I'd like to change the wheels and tires. I would like to get badland tires with black wheels, nothing shiny as I hate chrome !
Now i'm totally lost about waht to order. I believe my rustler has 2.8 wheels. Can i get 2.2 without modding anything ? Also what are beadlocks ?
Found those 2.2 but don't know what wheels i need to get

The front wheels have a 1/2" offset and the rears have no offset and they both have a 12mm hex. If they say they're for a Rustler, that's the way they'll come. You can use 2.8" or 2.2", it just depends on how big you want your tires.
You can get those tires in a 2.8" mounted on Desperado rims (black six spoke) for about the same price, or less.
Ok and about the 2.2 wheels, it seems that nitro and electric rustler are different. I've checked on the rpm website and they have different part numbers for electric and nitro front/rear wheels. Why so many varibles on the same car ??
Edit : also found out i can't get pro line badlands 2.8 FRONT for my nitro. This sucks so much !! What kind of black wheels do people get on their nitro ?? Getting frustraded, i spent the last hour trying to find either wheels or combo for my car without success

Your front wheels mount on bearings, not a 12mm hex. Black Desperados are made for Nitro fronts, but Proline doesn't make Badland premounts for Nitro fronts.
You can glue these yourself:
Front wheels: http://prolineracing.com/wheels/desp...-nitro-wheels/
Rear wheels: http://prolineracing.com/wheels/desp...-black-wheels/
Badlands 2.8: http://prolineracing.com/tires/badlands-2.8-traxxas
Woohoo thank you so much !
lol. Are you familiar with gluing?
Well i"ve read traxxas faq section including how to glue tires
You can also convert your front end to the electric components and then run the same wheel front and back
Rusty 2.5R,T-max 2.5 & 3.3,Summit VXL Nitro 4-tec
I have the 2.8 Badlands on my electric Rustler. They have been holding up great! (Off road only)
Almost wished they had just a little less traction....lol
You'll see...have fun!
...and sounds like you got "the bug" now....
