How hard is it to switch telemetry to a different motor system?

I am wanting to put the MMP 2400 motor system in my lcg Ultimate edition. Has anyone else successfully done it?

Hi ElSob, i did it a while ago, it is the same as with stock esc/motor. But you must have TRAXXAS Tx/Rx system.

So you restrap the sensor to the motor? How is connected to the esc? I see there is a wire that is attached to the Traxxas connector. Do you have to re-solder that to the new esc? Is there a physical sensor to the esc?

All sensors connect in the rx. The temp sensor have a plug that connect to the rx, and voltage sensor is connected to the red female plug attached to the temp sensor plug tha connet to the rx. The rpm sensor also connec directly into the rx. There are no sensor connected to the esc, only the voltage sensor have a plug to connect to the traxxas battery connector. You don't have to do any soldering... it is all plug 'n play!

So its just a plug? Ok I may have to just go ahead and do it. So basically I just have to put the plug in the new connector and wrap the sensor around the motor and call it a day?

I have voltage/temp sensor on my truck. I soldered the red voltage sensor wire onto a modified balance plug. So i plug the sensor to my balance taps on my lipos. I wrapped the wire loop for the temp sensor around the motor and cinched it tight with a piece of tubing. I also used it for the esc for a while. When I was doing that I zip tied it around the esc.

I don't care for the RPM sensor, I don't know what it matters to know aside from giggles, lol.
