Thanks humay! It means alot coming from you. You build great rides. Ive gotten some good ideas from your builds. Ive seen the scalpel and think they look good too. I think my next up grade will be a set of better grip wheels. I get alot of tire spins with the suprasales.

yeah, suprasales are only good at the first 3 runs to me lol and I have 3 sets. then I tried the premounted wheels/tires from kyosho and the way it was glued was not very good that one tire almost about to pop out at the first run. so, today I just order a set of GRP wheels/tires.

    is your motor 2650kv?

this is the one i pick (soft) http://www.ebay.com/itm/221308115110...84.m1439.l2648

I'm thinking of getting the 2650 as well since i have 2x 2200 already. i do have a 2800 but its 550 can motor, same as the 2400kv but with the extra kick at the end

I was thinking of getting the 2400 or 2800 for my slash 4x4. I have the et3 with the 3800 motor but wanted a little more out of that truck. How is that motor on 3s. I heard it does well on 4s.

I haven't tried it on 3s cause all I have are 2s and 4s but, with 4s its insane.

Try the sweep gt series tires. Iv got the slicks now. Have not had a chance to try them due to snow. I want to get the treaded sweep gt wheels as well. I got the slicks first because they were having a sale.

hey i have a question about your car. I have seen this more than once and i have been curious ever since, why do people only change the front shock tower to aluminum but leave the back plastic?

I bought the xo-1 aluminum towers because they are so inexpensive. I have the rear on the front of my rally. I'm going to buy the aluminum slash rear tower for the back. I couldn't get the proper ride height with the xo-1 the regular way.

Hey radreptiles I've been looking into Velcro battery hold downs. How do those work.

Velcro straps are great. I have plenty room to try bigger batteries when needed.

I have both front and rear XO shock towers and I got the ride height perfectly balance but, then again I have Pro Trac arms.

this is before I got crazy with modding it

How did you mount the body posts on the rear towers? That was another problem for me. I have it sitting pretty low with the erevo shocks. It would be great it I could use the xo-1 towers instead of buying the slash aluminum rear tower.

the slash aluminum comes with a piece (adapter) to mount the stock body post so as the front. the only differences with the rear slash shock tower to XO is that the rear is slightly lower.

I didn't have that adapter piece so I got creative lol its a piece of plastic screwed onto the tower's existing holes

I'm gonna have to give that a try. I really like your hybrid drive shafts too. I read your stampede build and got some more great tips because I want to build one of those next.

I did something similar to Humay, as The DP8 body required a very low profile body mount. It's here in my thread.

Here's another small update. I just want to thank Humay for hooking this up for me. He offered me to send the parts and he would cut and put the xo1 diffusers together for me. Thanks again Humay!

    Your welcome man

PF8 would look nice and you dont have to open the rear much for drag affect since you have diffusers.

If I go that route im gonna have to get the wheels extended out. Im not a fan of them tucked way in. I think I like your tekno/xo1 hybrid method best.

yeah, I hear you.....I didn't like it either when I have the stock arms, I've spend lots of time and cash figuring out of what/how to extend the wheels out without using extended adapters.

So when you ordered the tekno kit does it come with the protrac length or do you have to buy the protrac dog bones by themselves? I have the protrac arms now.

no don't buy the pro trac length bones it will hit the diff output shaft, just get the regular length M6. your running MIP X-duty, right?

you can get the longer male CV to work with pro trac arms. I think that's what ViperZ have on his Rally 1.
