New Stampede 4x4 coming down the Pipeline??

I hear there is a new Stampede 4x4 Brushed with maxx style chevron tires on it coming in the near future. This is the picture I saw posted on my FB page from Tower Hobbies. I did some google research and havent come across anything concrete. Maybe this is a lighter, cheaper option for newbies to get into the hobby. I would think it has stuff like the Telluride for cost savings passed to the consumer.

Anyone else heard anything about this.....??

Nice to see another p4de out on the market (soon). The chevron tires look alot better than the talons. It will probably be in the same price range as the telluride.

Its a different look... Being brushed, I wonder if they are going to give it the Trlluride treatment and make the center driveline plastic?

It does look more monster truck-ish, but I stull think the body and chassis don't work well together, especially being mounted that high.

    Looks like a mini Maxx.
I might get a set of those wheels for mine.
My Maxx experience tells me these tires are going to be awesome in snow.

I wondered about this too when I saw the email from RC Planet. Hopefully I can drop in a brushless system (already have a spare VXL motor and ESC in the toolbox).

Its a telluride, with pede body and mini maxx tires.
Look at the width in the pic from rc planet:
    http://www.rcplanet.com/v/vspfiles/p...TRA67054-2.jpg

Really need to lower that body, or a black chassis. Looks kinda horrible that way.

Love the overall dimensions and tires...

I really like them. They seem to work great on every surface, and they do not wear much at all. Plus they double as awesome snow tires when mounted backwards.

    Thanks revoman and snow.

It snowed back in '06, we got a whole 13 inches (around about). We were in heaven. We get a chance of snow once in 20 years. haha I live about 25 minutes off Texas Southeast coast.

So, this "new" Stampede has the shorter Telluride a-arms? I like those tires, I might have to get a set for my MT Slash!

I bought a set of used 3.2 for my Revo and love them--of course they are the older T-Maxx/E-Maxx style so they have more offset than the newer 3.8. Off road they seem to grab much better cornering and overall grip, on road they do slide a little bit more.
IF I were to get a Stampede 4x4 I would get the Chevrons.

I like the Chevrons over the Talons. They worked great on my Tmaxx.
Would like to see them on black chrome wheels though.

Tires look awesome! -- The rest just looks stupid, the body sits so ridiculously high that you can see that ugly grey chassis, at least they could have went with black plastic, and the wheel wells don't come close to lining up with the tires, especially the front where over half the tire is outside the opening!

The actual body is nice its just all out of proportion

Just saw that the Titan 12T is being used in a truck that weighs almost a pound more than the Telluride? A recipe for disaster

Have you ever seen a 1:1 Monster Truck? The body do sit that high on them and the wheel wells do not line up with the tires. Lowering the body is a simple task many of us have done easily. Let's try to keep posts positive or at least constructive, you are very close to Traxxas bashing and that is not appreciated or allowed here.

Not only do they look cool, but, if the Maxx tires are any indicator, they sound crazy rolling down the pavement at speed.

I LOVE that sound on my E-Maxx BL. I cant wait to try it on my Pede. I don't think it'll be quite as pronounced since the tires are smaller, but should still be there.

If the Maxx tires are any indicator then the new Stampede tires should do really well. However, until someone gets a set mounted and rolling we'll have to wait and see for sure. I'll probably get a set regardless.

Not IMO, I am running a 4 pole 5700 in my P4de and prefer it over my 3800kv 4 pole. Of course it all depends what you are looking for, I am content with a Basher that will do ~45 mph on 2s and it fills that bill just fine with no heat issues. I currently have the truck set up like a Truggy and running on Stadium Truck sized tires but it has also run on Monster Truck sized tires with no issues, just a matter4 of gearing it correctly.

I honestly think a lot of people simply over power this truck and the result is they rip out thhe stock drive line and then have to spend some fairly big $$$ to upgrade it. My P4de is still running on the original drive line parts and it is nearly two years old.

Keep the slipper adjusted correctly, and it will do ok (as long as it is the 4 pole 4600, the 2 pole will be a headache). The slipper setup can really help tame a lot of the overheating (not overgearing) problems. Gearing for 45 sounds a bit high though as my 4600 4pole heats up quickly at 45 with pede tires on my 2wd. I cant gear much over 35 mph off road on a 90 day and keep the motor under 150 for a full pack. What ever you do, accurately check motor temps often 8)
