    Brushless motor

I am going to get a nice erevo roller and am wondering if I can easily get a cheapish motor that performs just about the same as the mamba monster. Maybe a little less.

Could I get the mamba monster and use a different esc? What esc?

I am trying to keep it under 150ish for the motor

I wouldn't run anything different than castle products. Castle has good quality products, and great customer service. I doubt you will find that on a cheapest option.

Castle seems to be the way to go. With all of the videos of the erevo using mamba monster steroids, nothing seems to compete. Even tekin. Is there anything?

Also is it ok and safe to use a different esc than the motor. So if I were to use mamba monster and say a hobby king or traxxas Esc?

There's plenty of cheaper motor options , but don't expect them to handle up to 6s power. Look up 4074 motors to see some other cheaper options, but they won't have the power and reliability of castle. Traxxas made a smart move using their stuff for the Revo/Maxx. I personally wish they'd go ahead and swap to castle products across their entire line.

It would be awesome but everything would cost at least another hundred dollars.

I think I am just going to spend the extra cash for a mamba combo. I can't seem to find the setup that I need
