    prop question (sk180/leopard 1600kv)

    What is the biggest prop I can run with the leopard sk180 combo without worrying about overheating thanks

    I don't know how big you can go without overheating, but I experimented with up to an Octura X645 and Prather P225 before choosing to stay with the Prather P220.

    I wasn't seeing overheat issues with the larger props, but the bigger props produced more torque roll. I found this prop gave me the performance I wanted without creating other issues to try to compensate for.

    i ended up ordering a x447 prop do you guys think its too big and will cause me trouble?

    I think you my experience an increase in torque roll with the X447. I would not use a prop larger than 45mm or the Prather 225, the 225 is about 46.7mm.

    The Prather 220 is a very good choice for your motor and prop as the 220 is 43.68mm with a 2.6 pitch.

    You just do not want to load the motor that much with a prop in excess of 43mm to 44mm.
