    Wild thought: Speed wing!

Anyone out a rear wind on this thing? I was thinking that I could mount an e-Revo wing on the rear of my Spartan. Seems it would help...

What do you think it would help with? Holding the boat in the water?

It might, I think it would serve more of a cool factor than actually helping.

A wing on the rear will not keep the bow of the boat down. It needs to be mounted more forward and then the adjustments begin.

I have given it some thought myself but the wing needs to and should apply force only when the boats bow gets too high. A lot of testing will be required.... So let the fun begin!!!!!

I may start doing it before I order a new hull, and use the old one for testing. Afterthought: a servo controlled wing?

That would be the way to go... And you may find that you could use a wing smaller that the one used on the Revo.

The 1/16 e revo wing is pretty small, less than half the size of the big e revo.
With great brushless comes great responsibility.

There are several aftermarket wings/spoilers, I'm sure one can be the perfect add on. Starting measurements tomorrow...
