They will both fit.Narrow and wide is the offset.Narrow will be stock width and wide will add 1/2" either side.

This looks like the 0 offset narrows and should work on the revo. Wide 1/2 offset would give a wider stance and lower center of gravity on revo. 1/2 offset would be needed on a summit.

I preferably 1/2 offset for the wider stance and stability IMHO.

I would never run 0 offset, the 1/2" looks way better and it handles so much better!

Did a search on Ebay & all were Zero offset. Did see a good deal on a used set.
Are you looking at the Org Joe's or the new Joe's II....??
I would get the Joe's II. & the Traxxas Geodes rims.
The Geodes have about .750" off set, so my Revo is now 17" wide.

    edit
    a 3.8 tire will fit a 3.8 rim
Might or might not say Traxxas bead style...

    edit
but you will need Traxxas style hubs

Link to F-11 wheels with 1/2 offset

Link to geode 3.8" stock summit wheels which have 12 offset

Link to desperado 3.8" 1/2 offset

    http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXBMHL&P=ML

I'd go with the Traxxas Geodes as they have a lip to surround the wheel bead which can provide more surface area for CA to attach tire to wheel compared to the proline wheels. Tires like mashers are wider then the wheels so one has to glue down one side and wait for it to be secure, then pull the tire toward the glued side to get the opposite side tire bead onto the wheel bead area. At least that's my experience. yMMV.

I like BSI Insta-Flex+. It doesn't dry instantly so it gives you enough time to lay down the glue, position the bead, then hold it in place. Proline's glue dries almost instantly - if you position the bead wrong, you're in trouble.

Does a beadlock rim mean that i can have paddles on that rim with out glueing it then take of the paddles and put mashers on without glueing anything?

Yes, but beadlocks generally are not strong enough to hold the tire in place if you run Lipos. Some gasket sealer added to the bead will help. The gasket sealer should be removable.

^^ Nope, not gonna work. The F11 wheels use the Traxxas style bead. The new Big Joe 2 will work.

The original Big Joe needs wheels that have a bead like this: |_|_________|_|

I also like the looks of the original Big Joes. You can run any 40 series wheel. Axial 8 spokes have a great offset and are easy to find on ebay. The original Proline 40 Series wheels are a bit tough to find so I'd stick with the Axials.

They fit the revo and summit fine, with max steering stop and tbone bumpers with enough clearance.

depends what your goal is. You can put basically any tire for a offset rim, most people who use offset have .5"

Some zero offset wheels are not good for the summit/revo (axial oversized) the wheel is to wide.

But the Tech-5 is a narrow wheel with no offset. works great for me!

A wheel with offset will give you more stability. You want more stability? get offset wheels. In all honesty, most people get whatever they get due to chance. They simply don't know. Some people choose to have no offset for a tighter turning radius but that's a rare case.

Why the Mashers? Now you're all over the place. lol - sounds like you liked the Big Joes so stick with what you like. The Axials fit them perfect and have offset.

I was between the mashers or the big joes, basically i want something with offest and with good grip, idk what rims to pick for offset because i like the desperados so i think the desperados on the big joe tires, will these fit with the desperado having 1/2 offset or am i just continuing to dead ends

The confusion comes from the nomenclature. We have 2 different 3.8 tires and wheels:

    1. Proline 3.8: 40 series wheels and tires (discontinued but can still be found)
    2. Proline 3.8: Traxxas Style Bead wheels and tires

The Desperado 3.8 wheels only come in the Traxxas bead. The Masher 3.8 comes in a 40 Series AND a Traxxas Style bead (the 40 Series version is discontinued).
So if you want Masher 3.8, make sure the wheels and tires are the same time type (40 series vs Traxxas Style Bead).

Here are Masher 3.8 Traxxas bead premounts: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Wheel-Black-2

Take a close look at the tire bead and wheel. You'll be able tell if they match.

Don't sell the Tech 5 0-offset wheels short (or narrow, lol.)
Check the pics HERE and tell me the Revos don't look wide enough.

That said, the grip, size and weight of the Big Joe tires put increased stress on drivetrain components and I for one think they're just too big. My 2.

^^ksb - you bring up a great point that I overlooked. The Big Joes are soooooo wide that even with zero offset wheels, they still give you a wide stance. As in wide enough.

And I wouldn't run them either. Too big for my tastes - the Badlands works for me.

I'm currently running Proline Masher 3.8 Tires Traxxas Bead on Traxxas Geode 3.8 wheels. I like the particular high speed whine running on pavement. Not as stable as Road Rages but fun. Geodes are the Summit 1/2 offset.

I'm currently running Proline Road Rage 3.8 Tires Traxxas Bead on Proline Desperado 1/2" offset. Very good for high speed runs and stability on pavement.

I use the 1/2 offset to be able to also run em on my Summit.

I taped em both. I used foam safe CA since I had extra after repairing my foam RC Aircraft. Worked fine.

I run Trencher X's on 1/2" offset Desperadoes on my ERBE and the stock Geodes (also 1/2" offset) on my Summit.

You gotta go 1/2" offset IMO - now you gotta choose tires.
