    stock Telluride clutch slipping

    I have a all stock Telluride its my sons been a great truck
    but today ran into a problem the clutch is slipping and the truck barely moves i took it apart and tighted the nut it work for a about a min and did it again took back apart nut was lose anyone run into to this what do i need to replace?

    Sounds like the nylock nut is worn out, or there is dirt/oil on it causing it to slip. Recommend cleaning the screw portion of the slipper with alcohol and replacing the nylock nut.

    Clean the plate in witch the friction pads contact with motor spray, or carb/brake clean. Make sure the nylon on your nut is still good and reassemble. The first time mine did that I followed that procedure. Since then I put a bigger motor in it for more torque and it still has yet to slip again.

    i the nut keeps coming lose I replace the whole clutch truck works great again now.

    Just upgrade to the slash/stampede slipper. The high stall clutch in the telluride isn't very good.
