Lightbulb How to fix brake lights

It can be nice with some brake lights.
A little description how to fix it with an analog servo. The function will be that it lights when braking (and running back).

Suggest you take a cheap servo.

Disassemble the servo, remove the gears and free up trimmer (rotary potentiometer) and motor.

Remove the servo motor and solder a couple of wires that go to the brake lights.

Something that can facilitate the soldering of small things like this, is solder paste.

If you have 6V in to the servo, you usually have 6V out on the (servo)motor. Then it is easy and convenient to connect 3 red LEDs in series. (The usual estimate is that a red LED should have 1.8 to 2.2V.)
If you want more, you just have to connect in parallel, 3 in series, in parallel with 3 in series, etc...

    Then you need a Y-cable.

So ESC and brake servo connected in parallel (on channel 2).

To find out which (the former motor terminals) that are + and -, you plug in and test drive. You don't want it to shine when going forward. If it does, just shift the wires.

Then tune in the rotary potentiometer into desirable location. That it does not glow in the neutral position, and lights up when you pull reverse. Suitable to fix the situation with adhesives, or the like, and cut the shaft. The wires can easily break, or drop off at the solder, so it might be good to hot glue together with the card.

Can be put in a balloon, as protection. The result you get is with the funny (?) effect, that the harder you brake, the stronger lights the brake lights...
