Thanks! The yellow turned out extremely well. I was worried it would be too translucent. Had to increase the amount of dye used.

Color choice could be almost limitless by mixing dyes. Just have to make sure you write down the mixture recipe.

Are colors glossy or mate? Can you chose?

I all depends on surface prep. If you want shiny then you have to polish the part and skip the etching process. Etching will give the part a more matte type finish. I have also figured out that more time in the dye or stronger concentration of dye will hide the shiny finish. The yellow motor mount was polished before anodizing but turned out a more matte finish. I think this was due to the concentration of my dye mix.

Nice change up of color in that it really looks yellow rather than Gold. Do Ice Green next, if you haven't already

That more of a lime green? I can mix dyes to basically make any color I want. Is that more of a yellowish green?

That's cool and makes perfect sense.... Not so much yellowish green, rather light green. The color of these nuts here

An entire XO-1 parts done in that, or the Yellow you did would be so cool

I know right..? If you have a chance to formulate it, and do a sample, I can start to obtain a spare set of aluminums to send your way

That yellow would be totally Rad too!

This next week is gonna be crazy busy. If I can find the time, I wanna test all the colors I can get my hands on to see how they do on aluminum. Not sure if I wanna go red now lol.

The brace was a pain due to the size. Smaller parts aren't much trouble. I may need to upsize my system. I'd love to be able to do a chassis.

Power isn't the issue. Tank size is what I'm having problems with. I have to find something large enough to boil (seal) large parts in.

Yeah, I really wanna do a chassis. That would be awesome. The fans on my power supply didn't even turn on with the brace so I know there's plenty of juice. Just need to figure out container size now.

    not the place for adverts^^^^

    looks nice!
not sure on the legth of center brace or chassis but could you get a xl turky pan to use for sealing it?

and what about anodizing over parts? say you have a gold part and want it black or something else could you just drop it in the bath or do you have to do the whole process?

That's what I used to seal the brace. A turkey pan. It was a cheapo and a throw away so I may just have to get a better one. If you want to change colors you have to remove the original anodizing first and then anodize it again. The original dye would contaminate the bath plus you wouldn't get a good electrical connection to the part.
