The other day I tightened the slipper just to the point of getting wheelies - before that you could hear it slip, and while no wheelies it still ran well. But while out this time the slipper loosened completely to the point the truck would just crawl.
I took it apart and tightened for the rest of the battery pack, but this has never happened before. Is it a sign the slipper needs to be rebuilt?
Found out why, the slipper bearing is blown:

I would just upgrade it to revo spec and the parts you need are 5352r and 5351 it will dissipate heat better and lasts longer too.....peace
Famous last words...watch this!!!!
The same thing happen to me two days ago. But My bearing blew apart. It looks like yours did to. I replaced the bearing, put it back together, ran it. No issues so far. I too want to upgrade to the Revo spec as stated by Spennie. But No cash to do it at this time.
Just Bash it!

Had pretty much the same thing happen to me too...make sure to get the aluminum bearing adapter and go with the 5352r above ^ i recently did and so far so good... however i didnt use the 5351 yet, but it is on order... The aluminum clutch pads are the most important.. i just used the rest of stock parts for now..but it looks like u shredded not only your bearing but the stock plastic bearing adapter too?

T4KT1KZ, your pads appear to be on backwards. The rounded edge should face the slipper.
Good catch, ^^ and yes the rounded side is facing outward.
