I've got (or had) a bunch of 1/16ths but none for on road.
So i've bought a 1/16 rally roller and i have a sidewinder Esc and a few 540 sized motors.
I ordered a proline camaro body and now i'm looking at wheels I've seen a lot from gogo.rc i like on ebay.
Has anyone used these? or do they even fit.
I've got the wheels And they fit great on the rally. I bought them off another china dealer with tires for $10 shipped. The dealer is fopower.
does this motor mount work with 540 sized motors? I think i remember needing the brushed motor mount, i'm not sure about this one. I like the heat sink and blue.
Yeah the brushed motor mount will fit your 540 size motor.
Here is the link I ment to post. Its the GH motor mount. It does not say brushed or brushless. But it looks the same as the other 1/16 I have. Ive never had a brushed one. And no brushed motor mount comes up on tower hobbies

just realized that one doesn't work. I got the part # for a traxxas one off of a brushed Erevo I've also got a 550 sized motor plate.
The motor I'm using is a Trakpower 540 13.5T sensored and an MMP smart Sense. I'm hoping the amazing smoothness of a sensor motor will be great for an on road car and trying to drift. I guess I should also make a parallel connector, for small 2200mah batteries, I think they are 30 or 40c rated. worked great for years on my stock 1/16ths but a bigger motor might need some more juice.
They don't give much info at all, but they look more realistic and a buddy of mine has almost the same wheels on his camaro. The vattera has a very realistic or scale camaro but I wanted a traxxas 1/16. I'm going to get a few 1/16 models and convert them from car to revo.
Yeah i've seen the Vaterra one but done nicely you can get similar looks with the Traxxas 1/16 platform. i'm well happy with the Camaro i've just done, and i'm sure you will be too. The sets of 6mm wheels i'm talking about are these:
As for the Revo conversion it certainly opens up a whole lot more terrain, as you will know from having previously owned 1/16 off road cars. I preferred using my Stampede off road though, hence now getting an on road 1/16. Enjoy!...
So parts are slowly arriving, its hard to get Rit dye around here so i had to order some, I hate waiting on parts all the time.
Here is my box of parts now, Just need the ESC, Motor mount, Body, Wheels, and servo.
I got my diffs shimmed, well the rear anyway, I added a 0.2mm shim. the front seemed tight already.
What is the stock shock in in the rally? it feels like its a lot less than 30k, i was almost tempted to put 100k or greater in the rear for drifting, but i'll leave as is for now, i've also added some 700cst oil or about just under 50wt. stock was really bouncy.
the part box looks good. I ended up putting 2k diff fluid or something close in my shock cuz they are really bouncy. What ESC are you going to use?
Mmp smart sense

Looking forward to seeing the finished article :-)
Good choice on a Camaro body. I had sold my favorite Camaro body. Regretted it. Now i got one today in the mail, and i want it back so bad.
I'm not krazy. My mother had me tested.
I can't wait to get this done, One reason i chose the Rally over the more to scale vattera was because i could change it to a revo or slash later on if i wanted to. I found some 1/16 bumper mounts for an erevo in my truck. I might end up buying a revo brushed and installing a SV3 combo.
Almost got everything, just waiting on the servo now, im in the process of building a tekno sct410 and my revo 3.3 so this one may wait another week.

Spent some time and got this thing going, I started off with drift tires and its a blast indoors, although i'm going to need a bigger pinion i'll order up a 32 tooth later on.
The 3mm offset fits real nice inside the camaro body, no rubbing at all. I kind of messed up the paint, my black paint ran out after about 1 layer so it don't look the greatest but o well.
Looks nice, I am diggin the camaro body.
With great brushless comes great responsibility.
