really depends on what kind of bashing and on what surface you will be running in. for off road, you might want to start with 30 weight. if jumping heavily maybe a 35.... for on road I like to use 40 up front and 50 in the rear, but my truck is lowered about an inch, so the higher weight oil helps keep the truck from bottoming out and keeps it stable as well.. Another important shock related item.. Get aluminum caps.. best investment for bashers.. The plastic shock caps have a tendency to blow out, once they pop off the threads on the plastic shocks are stripped and will never hold again.

Cool. I run on a tar circle out front on my house, a dirt driveway and I made an off road track through the woods out back with many small to medium dirt jumps.

I run Big Bores and use 40wt in the front and 45wt in the rear. Stock springs. 1mm preload up front and 6mm in the rear.
Bashing on a hard packed track covered with loose dirt.
