Is anyone running the sidewinder 3 with a matching castle motor? Which motor would be best for this truck? Is the motor woterproof/sensored? Is the esc sensored? Will this fit in the battery tray without cutting it? Thanks for the imput, going to be doing a 1/16 summit build soon if I can sell my 1/10 summit with MM2 and 2200 NEU motor. Again, any imput would be greatly appreciated!

The SV3/motor combo is a very common upgrade.
Either the 4600 or the 5700 are fine... the 4600 is better for off-road use.
All motors are waterproof... they just wear faster when wet.
Here are the specs for the SV3 and motor combo's:
Not sensored... motor or ESC.
Stuffing an ESC into the battery bay is a very bad idea... there is little to no air circulation in the battery bay resulting in a very hot ESC. Also, I doubt the ESC will fit without cutting the bay up. Another reason not to do this is the power system you plan on using will probably require twin packs ran in parallel due to amp draw. The wee little batteries that fit in the bay are not capable of providing many amps unless ran in parallel.
Whatever it is I just typed... could be wrong.
So, not really a good/practical idea?
I'm selling my 1/10 Summit and OLD Rustler to buy this, so I want it to be faster than the vxl summit my dad has, and the ones my friend and sister are about to get. I have a mm2 in my 1/10, and I loved the power upgrade.
