Well today I start on this xo1 . Don't expect a bunch of mods and nice paint. Just doing the best I can with what little know how I have. So lets see what happens......
Tighten up the rear with some revo springs black
Tighten up the front , and added 3.5oz of weight.
That's all for now.
And removed rpm sensor.

Looking good so far!
hey I see everyones installing the savox servo...what's wrong with the 2075 servo? is it trash or does "upgrade means better" not trying to be rude, im just wondering because that's all ive been seeing and soon i'll have an XO-1. Is there something I don't kno about the 2075?
Savox is ok, they're strong fast and inexpensive but require lots of power so BEC might be needed or you'll brown out. 2075 is a bit slow so response isn't that great, plus the gears they're plastic so they'll get worn out and centering will be off eventually.
IMO you'd want something fast with a good amount of torque to handle the load of going high speed. Use the inner hole on the servo arm (closest to servo center) to reduce overall steering throw. Having the car able to do a hairpin turn on low speed is good, but not something you'd want going over 100mph.

Next on the list, Aluminum drag link.
You must be one of the guys I was bidding against lol.
Yea, but I lost. Go thing I got in contact with him, he stays a few miles down the road. He plans to make more and become a member of the forum.
I see good things down the road from him.
I need one of those!

Use that in combination with a slash 4x4 aluminum steering set and that should eliminate a lot of slop.
Not possible bro
I could certainly use one of those drag links.
i will get the maker of the drag link info for those who want it.
Hmmm....I'd be interested in one too.
Have you tried it? You should take a look at the configuration of the slash vs xo-1. Yes even though they use the same exact parts minus the center link, the aluminum bellcrank system has the servo saver spring setup on the LEFT side. Not possible to swap it over to the Right configuration like the XO-1.
The ONLY setup that's somewhat close to the XO-1 system is the slash 2wd Pro-line steering kit. Difference is the crank arms, they're set at 90 degrees vs XO-1 at ??? (not sure cause I'm currently not home)
I decided to begin with a differ platform this time around, So the mmm 2200 on 3s it is. I know I will have to watch temps. You guys know of anyone out there making light weight pinions? Does anyone with experience with this combo on the xo1 have a good start gear ratio? Thanks
Yes sir, pm'd
I'm running a 2200kv with the Mamba Extreme (XO-1 OEM).
Plan is 2x2s lipo. I have 16/46 (stock spur anyways, looks like it says 46 on it) in there now to start.
Don't know if that's anywhere close to where i need to be and i have no idea where this "should" be for top speed.
(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²
I ran the MMM esc and a 2250kv motor in my 2wd with 34/36 gearing and have run a best of 85.2 on 4s. With 3s make sure you watch your battery temps as well. Depending on your gearing it could really put a strain on a single 3s.
Sorry, I meant 6s
I would start with 34/46 gearing until you get a feel for it. That's plenty to run 100 mph.
Anyone know if there is a weight difference between the xo1 stock wheel and the dish wheel?

My stock wheels and tires are used and my dishes are new, but here is the comparison.
Stock rear: 5.5oz
Stock front: 4.9oz
Dish rear: 6.1oz
Dish front: 5.3oz
Wow, I didn't expect that. Thanks for that info ponie. I make look into those sweep wheels I keep hearing about.
CST, just keep in mind my stockers are far from new. But I was a little surprised they weren't heavier than the dishes.
I will look into that when I get in. Ponie have u done anything with ur diff oil weight front and rear. I was thinking of trying 100k on both.

I have not changed the diff oil. It's stock. Imo I don't think it really helps.
a set back today. the mamba esc i purchase doesnt work. this is what i get for tryin to save cost on my budget build, and not buying new as i always do. the rx powers up and servo moves. but esc doesnt do anything. green light shows when connected to castle link. any ideas other then send to castle and wait. ?????
So nothing when powered up? Could be the switch. I started having trouble with the switch on mine. Bypass the switch before sending it in.
Is it solid or flashing green? You might want to re-callibrate your Tx/Rx. See if that works.
The only thing I get when switched on is power to rx and servo. I get green only when plug into caslte link. I guess that shows communication between the two. Pc/esc

Might try and cut the switch to the ESC and wire the 2 wires together (as ponie said). The switch hours or in them, I've had to do it a couple of times.

i will try that when i get in. thanks
