Did you try disabling CLL through the programming via Castle Link. Most of the times a different Tx/Rx work after that.

Just snagged a set of stock wheels/tires off ebay for under $70. Mission accomplished.

Got the rear sway bars installed tonight. Gonna put the fronts on tomorrow. Went black bar out back. Trying to debate with myself if I should go silver up front to leave it a bit looser. Thinking that may help with turn in?? Close on thought?

I would put the stiff one up front, that way it will absorb all the body roll and keep your steering in control.

Hey Cameron, I see you're from Edmonton! I'm actually from Calgary! Anyways, could you do like a list of things you bought at the end of your build so we can see how much it would cost to build a "budget" XO-1?

    Thanks!

Uhh...unless you have the electronics already and are planning to build only to stock i would recommend a roller up build.
BUT if you plan on adding anything to it as upgrades you are better off buying new.

If i count the DOA esc i bought, and the fact i took a speed control system out of another ride (have to replace it eventually) im already over $800 for a MMM/2200kv powered XO-1 i could have had for around $650 for a 1717 Powered RTR shipped to my door from Tower.

This is a quick breakdown of my get it running purchase list.

    Roller from eBay $180 + $35 ship
MME ESC from eBay $100 + $18 ship
    Body from eBay $35 + $20 ship
    5ch TRX RX $20 + $5 ship
    Batteries (SMC 7200mah 70c) $140 + $18 ship
(Needed bigger ones and my SPC were getting tired)
    XO-1 Tires $70 + $20 ship
    Roughly $660 incl shipping.
Now Add a new/used MMM system $250 ish
Thats over $900 dollars on a "budget build" Have I mentioned i suck at this game...

Now add all the electrical gizmo i have added... Probably close to $100
(light bar, siren, sinewinder lights, connectors, switches)

So i would say without a doubt, buy a new RTR. Hands Down. I WISH i had in hindsight, because i can only think i will eventually upgrade to a 1717 anyways...

Both light-bars operational. Next up is the siren.

Then time to get them remote activated.

Sweet! $900? Wow! Yeah, I just wanted to see how "on budget" a "budget build" really is! I think the RTR is great value considering the Electronics themselves cost about $300! Thanks for responding so quickly and throughly!

No problem, yeah. Like i can take the $250 out because i can easily swap the MMM and Motor back and forth, i just get tired of doing that eventually and just buy another system.
But then im still over the cost of a new RTR for my budget build. Its crazy.

Go figure haha. As part of a recent order from Amain i picked up all the servo extensions i need to make the lights on the XO-1 SWAT edition plug and play so that i can run different bodies when i want to.
Normally stuff like this i just buy from the LHS but i was picking up some other stuff so i bought the servo leads as well.

Bought Male to Male leads. GRRR i do this quite often. So now i get to wait till Tuesday for the LHS to open after the Long weekend and buy the right leads. So much for getting the XO-1 SWAT operational this weekend.

Got the correct servo extensions and now everything's ready to go but the Pico switches are powering up on toggle as intended but not making the lights or work.
Never fails when I start these electronic projects. Always end up spending WAY more than intended, and eventually get to the point of such frustration I loose interest completely.

For the amount of wiring under the hood for this its a very simple layout. If I plug lights and siren in direct without the pico switch they work. But introduce the switch and even though the switches power up on toggle they dont power up the lights and siren. Quite annoying.

*** nice little note on the pico switch packaging that says, the switch does NOT supply power at the screw posts... Would have been nice to know that ahead of time. These are useless to me since i want to power these off the Car and not a 3rd battery in the car.

Just plug them in and cut one of the wires and put it into the pico switch. Easy.

I'll be the first to admit that 95% of the electrical shenanigans i do with RC I have no right to just assume that i can do.
Nothing is plug and play by the time I'm done with it. lol

I have NO IDEA what you are referring to as easy. What you said there doesn't make sense to me.

Now that I have them, I cant beleive the size difference between my Sweeps and the Stock XO1 wheels.

More so from this angle lol.
