    Drive Shaft

    Hi

Anyone have experience on these ?
Traxxas Steel Constant Velocity Shafts. Part # 6851R & 6852R They listed this $80.00 for each pair.
Are they worth the money ?

There is also another one from traxxas as well.
Part # 6451 & 6452 But this one needs a 6mm axle. From the traxxas website. So these is more work
    involve.

This is the list of parts it needs.
    #6869 12mm Wehell adapter 12mm $28.00,
    #6451 (x2), $38.00
    #6452 (x2) $38.00
    #6439 Steering Block $35.00
    #6455 Axle carriers, rear, 6061-T6 aluminum, left & right (blue-anodized) $35.00
    #5117 (x3)) Bearing $4.00 for 2.

    Approx $180.00

Or is there other brand you guys are using which function the same.

Naaaaaaaa. You money is best spent on MIPS and tekno as far as dirveshafts.
Also, not sure how you came up with all those parts just to fix a DS...

Here is what you should get instead of the traxxas steel CVDS IMO.

    http://miponline.com/store/mip11110.html (FRONT)

    http://miponline.com/store/mip11109.html (REAR)

OR A LESS OBNOXIOUS STYLE LOL

    http://miponline.com/store/mip13115.html (REAR)

And if your motor is upgraded like mine is you will need a few more things if you already haven't gotten them.

Thanks for the links. I have the heavy dutie rebuild kit. I think I am gonna order up the tekno big bone and their drive shaft.
Email them waiting for their reply.

The good thing is the local hobby shop has the traxxas drive shaft . All the other one I need to order online.

Any one else with the traxxas shaft ? Input ?

If you've got an upgraded motor running on 3S I think it's a must as for 2S not so sure since I've never ran my motor on 2S.

When installing the Tekno big bone drive shaft does the drive shaft cove have to come off and stay off?
