Thumbs up Traxxas, Your RC Names Bug Me...

Today, it hit how much Traxxas RC names bug me when I was running my 4x4 Stampede. As my truck was screeming down a rudded-up road, I was thinking of my old 'Pede and how out of control it would be running on the same road at half the speed. This made me think that this truck should have a different name, it is a completely different truck; this is just like the rest of the Traxxas line and the trucks with the same name but really aren't anything alike... They have different names for the E-Maxx and T-Maxx, and those two trucks are a lot more alike than the Slash/4x4 Slash or Stampede/4x4 Stampede...

I think it makes more sense to name the RCs power train...
    • Magnum 272 Drive Train (Bandit, Rustler, Stampede, Slash)
    - Give these one name, lets call them all "Slash"...
    - Slash = Slash SC (Short Course)
    - Stampede = Slash MT (Moster Truck)
    - Rustler = Slash ST (Stadium Truck)
    - Bandit = Slash B (Buggy)
    • The New 4x4 Drive Train (Slash 4x4 & Stampede 4x4)
    - Give these one name, I like "Traxxas Razor" (Goes with the 'knife' theme)
    - Slash 4x4 = Razor SC (Short Course)
    - Stampede 4x4 = Razor MT (Moster Truck)
    - I also like 'Traxxas Raptor', but there is already a 1/8 scale truck with that name.
    • The 1/16 RCs
    - Do the same thing as above...

    JMHO...

Hahaha... So funny... Well, calling the new boat "Titan" did not required a very long brainstorming session...

If anything, a better name for this truck would be 'Mini-Emaxx', it looks and acts just like my E-Maxx, only faster... It really has very little in common with the 2x4 'pede.

Here we are again, a new Traxxas truck, the Telluride (I can see this being called the 'Telli'). It is more or less a 4x4 Stampede with smaller tires and the XL-5 powerplant. It'd make sense if it were called the 'Razor TR' (thinking about it, I like the name 'Raptor' for the 4x4 line better, but both works).

This is the fault of my work, were we often have to catigorize things by commonalities such as drivetrains, that is why this makes a lot more sense to me, rather than having random names assigned to each vehicle.

So, the line up would look like this:
    • Magnum 272 Drive Train (Bandit, Rustler, Stampede, Slash)
    - Give these one name, lets call them all "Slash"...
    - Slash = Slash SC (Short Course)
    - Stampede = Slash MT (Moster Truck)
    - Rustler = Slash ST (Stadium Truck)
    - Bandit = Slash B (Buggy)
    • The 4x4 Drive Train (Slash 4x4 & Stampede 4x4)
    - Give these one name, I like "Traxxas Raptor"
    - Slash 4x4 = Raptor SC (Short Course)
    - Stampede 4x4 = Raptor MT (Moster Truck)
    - Telluride = Raptor TR (Trail)
