TBG to make SRT body soon.

I contacted Team Blue Groove about making a reproduction SRT body. They agreed to the reproduction and appreciated that I'm donating a brand new uncut SRT body. Sadly they are busy focusing on their new rc raceway so they can't start until late summer. Now we only need reproduction decals.

I spoke with the guy who make the copy of the sledgehammer decals and he said the company that made them has since went out of business. He said it was very complicated on the reflective sticker sheet, costly and unprofitable.
Dont know where to go from this point

It would probably look a little different but what about the vinyl car covering companies? I have seen some pretty detailed images done before.

I contacted TBG yesterday about an SRT body and they said they could do it if someone sent in an uncut body. Is there an update with the body you sent in?

unfortunately. The body I have had the wing cut out....but the cut out wing from the older nitro sport body is exactly the same. They said they can figure something out for the wing.

I have a nib SRt body and this new but open body. Those bodies are so rare. What worries me is what if they make a mistake and destroy the body and couldn't make a reproduction one.

pretty sure you would be ok..... they started doing tcp bodies recently.... and that had to come from that tcp that was on ebay with the extra stock body.

I've sent them two emails requesting a new SRT. They responded to the first. I'm guessing now they are too busy moving into their new larger building and property because of their rapid expansion.

i believe if you send your body, they send it and 2 or 3 bodies back... but you would need to contact them again.

as for a new srt, it would be cool.

Everything but the body, rear shock tower and suspension springs still exist as new stock. I'm sure a few pieces would have to be reproduced as, i'm sure, it's only limited stock and not actually production parts I.e. Chassis, battery box and motor plates. But it would be a simple project to rerelease.

Here's to wishful thinking. I mean, heck, when was the last time anything the public wants actually became reality?

I'm still holding out for the new Traxxas race car :-)

It's not like they couldn't afford it. They pay all the best pro full scale drivers to put their name on their rides. What's keeping them from hiring Ryan Cavalieri for a year or two?

Jumping into rc racing isn't as easy as you think. Theres the initial r&d and marketing, then you have to get drivers (not just one) and the expenses of traveling to where ever the "big" races are that will help get the most attention.

And the pro's out there do not come cheap.

Hpi and Hot Bodies seem to get by with just Ty Tessman. And Traxxas already owns half the advertising space in RC Car action. Maybe just remove a single Stampede ad and put a TRX 4 in it's place :-)

I would pay for newly design SRT. After owing alot of newer kits out there. My Favorite is still the SRT and TCP. They feel and look so different. They are beyond their time.

It can not possibly be more expensive than paying for Courtney Force, Kyle Busch, The whole Torc series and drivers, Monster Jam and lord knows ehat else they've poured money into.

It just sucks for those of us that were loyal to them and ran their cars for years and waiting. Exhausting all the spare parts and hopups. It would be nice to have a modern platform to play with.

Like I said in the other thread, and SRT could compete with a handful of hopups. It's achiles heal would be the shorter arms. They could come out with an update, and we could run it for another 20 years.

I think the rustler VXL is the new SRT...the Bandit falls short but can be worked out with rustler corners to make it a mean buggy. There is your new platform: sigh

NO way!!!!. The SRT is light years ahead then the new VXL Rustler. Comeon...the SRT came with standard 5x11 bearing throughout the kit, metal motor plate and guard, anti squat and rear toe-in and gear cover that complete seals the spur haha.

And a Ball Diff. And Aluminum shocks. And a clear body. And adjustable camber links. And I think the SRT was wider.
