Is there a way to waterproof castles esc & motor fans?
That would probably void the warranty. Castle is selling the Mamba Monster 2. It's waterproof and the fan is removable from the top of the case.
Ya I have the mm2 but it annoying have to take both fans every time There's water in the bashing scenery. I wouldnt think the fan would void the warranty. Can I plasti dip the fan motor? Or anything?
Getting the fan wet is the last of my worries, I had it wet several times, and the fan still run like new. It doesn't mean it can't be damaged maybe I've been lucky. I like to clean it with an electrical cleanser it comes in a spray can.
Ran my mm2 yesterday in water, still works
I've got them wet before but I know if I get it submerged there screwed.
I would think if you left it out to dry thoroughly it would still work.
Does anybody sell brushed fans?
I've never had problems with water and fans.
Sig edited for awesomeness. NC
I guess I'll just have to see how much water they can take then. So far puddles ok. Water just deep enough it seem like the truck floats when throttle is applied
Saw a youtube video where a guy used liquid tape on the esc to water proof it. You can find it @ Hone Depot in the electrical section. You have to pop the top off of the esc to coat it. Plasti-dip would work also.
