The blue thingy is a "servo horn" you can find an aftermarket one for your servo. Not sure what kind of spline it is I think its 25 tooth. Don't quote me though. Your lhs will have one. Basically a direct fit and you don't have a servo saver. You don't need one with a metal geared servo

I have one as well. Forgot what company it is. Lol

Ya if you want to run it you need to dremel some plastic on the chassis like you did. I recommend just going direct fit...its only a few bucks.

I still do have a servo saver on mine. Its just the upgraded bellcrank setup where it is integrated into the bell crank instead of on the servo.

I'm no servo saver. Straight steering horn and stock bell cranks.

Usually they are white and don't have a servo saver attached to them. Looks like the proline. Do you have the part number.

Personally I don't use a servo saver with any metal geared servo. I race often and I've gotten good enough where I don't crash as often if ever now so I don't run one. Everyone I know that I race with also does not run one with metal geared servo.

That Savox cost me 60 bucks so I kept the saver on the car instead of switching to straight bell cranks. My truck is about a year old and it was the VXL version so it came with that style of bell crank with the saver built in. The part number off traxxas website is 6845X

Ahh ow i know which one it is.... Servo saver is a personal preference. I always felt like it was smoother without it. But that's just me.

I imagine it would be. It takes away from having to correct the steering trim after every race also.

Does the saver really save the servo ? Like at the track I take some nasty tumbles. Is it my best interests to keep the saver on it ?

I have never run without the servo saver on the car so I cant say either way. I have never wrecked my servo with it on the car though. So I guess I can say that much.

If nothing on the transmitter has been changed, perhaps the servo is plugged into the receiver backwards.
That will cause your issue,if it is in properly,I would see if your transmitter has been some how altered.
Also since you changed the position of the servo, you may have to change your transmitter servo direction for it to turn the right way direction.

How do I do that ? Everything is plugged in the same on the reciever. Figured since switch to a new chassis it would throw off the turning direction.

I cant remember off the top of my head, but in the manual the slash came with,It tells you how to set the transmitter.
I have never done it with the tqi,but I'm quite sure it has a servo reverse setting. You use the two red buttons to set it,but again I don't know the sequence in my head, maybe some one with a manual,or that know by memory can walk you thru if you don't still have yours.
I think you can also swap the black and white wires to the receiver, just make sure the red one stays in the middle.
I would try setting the transmitter first.
DJ might be able to help you more. I don't have the pl lcg,so I can only tell you what I would try.
