Hey all, was given a Jato by a friend to do some work on it and long story short he didn't want to fix it and gave it to me. I have been going through it slowly and still have a ways to go on it. This is just to show progress so far and progress from this point. Any tips will be appreciated as I am new to Jato's. But I love building all types of RC's so i figured i'd give it a shot. Thanks for looking.
This is how the car looked when i got it lol.
This was just a mockup of the Lamberto Collari Onroad .21 and THS 1/8 scale pipe on the new chassis.
Once the new parts started going on.
This is how she currently sits with the centax clutch fitted still waiting on a few new "special" parts lol.
looked like a box O junk before...... Good Job
It was lol. figured I'd save the little guy lol.
Wow i can't wait to see this thing run. Which turnbuckles did you use as struts?
The struts are slash turnbuckles I had laying around, but it will get shocks soon.
What kind of rear tires you got there?
2.2" panther slicks.
Where can I get aset from
I believe tower has them.
i didnt see them on the site.
I'll find them.
Amainhobbies.com has them. Just look up panther products under manufacturers then look up 10th scale truck tires. I believe I'm running the soft compound.
Shocks came in!
It's alive. Still have a long way to go tune wise since the motor has sat for about 3 years now. Should be fun if I don't sell it first. Now that the project is nearing completion I'm losing interest lol.
What chassis is that?
Jato 3.3, Revo .28 JL Max, Nitro Stampede 3.3
New era big block conversion chassis.
What size motor.
It's a on road .21
Finish the project! oh and if your interested in selling it or a trade then pm me.
Haha I plan on finishing it for now. Maybe then I'll sell it lol.
So I've decided to sell it as is. Unfinished, make a offer if interested.
What does it need?
Needs brakes, clutch parts, and radio gear. And I'll post it in the for sale section.
I'm waiting for it to be posted
nice jato,is the panther slicks all rubber? looking for a something that will last longer than the Jaco foam tires and is that a 2speed clutch bell?
The slicks are rubber. They grow a good bit but have pretty good traction. And they last quite a while. You can tape them to stop the tire growth at speed.
too bad your gonna sell it, I really want to see it run. Sweet build.
