    Hey, welcome to the forums!

Where do you live? If it's in the US, Traxxas offers a nice little brushless trade-in program. Go to your LHS (Local Hobby Shop) with your ESC and 550 motor and tell them you want to Power Up.

They don't have the Power Up program outside of the U.S. Your LHS will have a motor and ESC to sell you, I'm sure. Fortunately, there are a lot of MERV (Mini E-Revo) fanatics here who will probably chime-in on this thread.

    Good luck!

You should be able to find a V system on ebay for around the same price as the power up.

After the motor and speed controller you should just need differant pinion gears.

Mamba Monster Max, so you wont deal with the VXL 3s, it wrecks sometimes. Velineon 380 Motor. Small Block Motor Mount.

    7077 Gear cover/Hardware
    7090 Motor Plate
    7060 Motor Mount

Stock V380 motor is hard to beat for the price.
I would not get the stock 3M ESC... either the Mamba Max Pro or the new waterproof SV3.
The 3S is the big ESC and the Monster Max is beyond overkill.

I just bought a complete transmission with all the above hardware for $28 shipped within the US. The motor can be had for around $30 and the ESC is $80 on Castles site.
Whatever it is I just typed... could be wrong.

Go with 380 as jimmie recommended. It will be a major improvement over what you have now and still handle good!

    I went with Jimmies idea.
the v380 is smaller and lighter for better handling.
