    "American Infidel" My New Body

Just finished my new lid called "American Infidel" I started with a clear E-Maxx body TRX3912 and used two colors. Both colors are Rustolium products, Khaki/Coyote Tan and Rubberized undercoating for the black found at Ls. Custom decals were ordered off of the E and made to measure. The bumpers and the stock rims were also painted with the undercoating.

    Truck Specs:
    3903 Emaxx
    RPM Tru-Track
Proline Badlands on HPI 6-Spoke rims
    Turn ********* 150A ESC
Tuen 2100KV 4-pole (in the mail)
A mix of Avid and Traxxas bearings
    2 x 7.2v 5000mah
    XT90 Connectors

    Just removed:
    Titian 775 w/22t
    Traxxas EVX-2
    2-Speed Tranny

Today I cleared the body with "flat" clear coat. It came out great and took the gloss off. I got a few runs in the clear but who cares im gonna run it like I stole it anyway.

Anything Colt is top notch! and I bet you would sing a diff tone when it hits 105F this summer.

Just an update, that body is TOAST! The paint is chipping off in chunks. I think it was do to not washing the body first and then using regular spray paint. I called Traxxas and they sold me a new one at a reduced price and said that you NEED to use Laxan/Polycarbonate Paint. SUX BIG

Well I was able to use compressed air and blast off 97% of the old paint. I used the handle of a screwdriver to shock the paint and it flaked right off. With a little luck and some body work I can have this body up and looking ok/fair in no time. The only thing is that I Flat Cleared over the decals and they spider webbed a little but I think some 800-1000 grit might do the trick.

Well, I was able to fix this body by using adhesive promoter that I found at AZ. You just spray it on like a clear primer then spray over the color you want. The body looks just fine now after a few bashing sessions and I'm happy I desired to fix it because I love the coyote tan.
