Thanks, most likely this is the final truck. It handles so well there's no concern about having to change anything. This chassis is the winning setup!

I know me too The bumper is the RPM one shortened and attached at the two higher holes. It lets it sit perfect right under the body!

Sick truck man! I love the build and the ingenuity! If you make a plan then I might be interested one day to make my own as this truck is incredible how it handles. What software did you use to make the video? Looks very professional 👍

Thanks ManDime!! The only thing I have as far as plans is the dimmensions of the bottom chassis plate. What you saw in that video was just a preview lol, wait to you see me really run this thing And I appreciate that, I edit my videos in Cyberlink Powerdirector 11.

Yeah it's Lexan paint. Pactra bonds very well to the plastic rims. You just need to make sure you go through all the steps for them to turn out good. With a bright color like these you have to make sure you back them with silver first or they'll look dull. I talk about it more in the vid:

    Hey Cycon

Thanks for warm words! And you did the right choice for the tires! I was impressed about them too Sad story that I don't have my work area to move on with my project... Well I shouldn't be wining because I still have the truck itself so I can ride at least

No problem man! Sorry to hear about your shop, but like you said, at least you have the truck! That's all that matters really. But I can't wait to try the tires. I'm making another update video later so I'll paint them and glue them up tomorrow.

Great build, this is truly realistic. Read that you want to paint the frame, that will look cool. However, race trucks don't get painted. Scotch brite the chassis for a uniform look so you can find cracks (full size). Also, how much articulation did you lose with the mid links being tied together, I'm guessing most of it and no body roll that way?

Thanks I'm glad you approve haha, I wanted to go all out on this one! I know real trucks powder coat their chassis but I don't trust anyone to be careful with it if I let a shop do it. I'm kinda over protective of it lol. But when I added the "3-link" it stiffened it up a bunch, taking away most articulation. It drives so much better though, just no more 3 wheelin'

It depends. But usually a 6000mah 2s will last about 15 minutes on average.

Definitely. I was actually considering going to a 3s setup for longer run time. They also make 3s packs the size of 2s's!!

Your only option at this point is getting a stock wraith axle. RC4WD stopped making the Hardcore and the aluminum wraith housing for solid axles. It really stinks but that's all you can use..

Did you do any pre prep to the wheels or just clean them. I would think using some scotch brite would help you get a better adhesion with your paint.

I did light sanding and cleaned them with soap and water before I started my first coat. Seems like it should hold up well. Then after the 3 green layers I did 6 or 7 coats of clear acrylic lacquer. Here's the final product:

Thanks! The clear coat honestly feels like a factory finish, hope they last

Thanks but the truck still has a couple others things before it's "finished" lol. The main thing is powder coating the chassis, but I also have to make the actual body. This black one is just for testing.
