These outlaw wheels look sick as ****.

Those things would take a total beating on a Slash. And you're right - that's a ton of extra weight.

Is the added weigh a disadvantage?

I have similar wheels on my 4x4. They are strong solid wheels. I bought two of them around two and a half years ago and have had the other two for almost a year. All four are still perfectly straight! They are well constructed and can take a good beating. You will bend an axle well before you bend a wheel. As for the added weight, I'm a basher so weight down low helps traction. I don't believe you would be disappointed if you were to buy a set.

I'm kinda curious of they have a set that will work on the pede. That thing could use some extra weight up front.

They look nice and Im with El sob that you would just about to run over them with a real truck to destroy them. There are other variables that play a far more important role that a bit of added wheel weight.

Well if u just want more power id get a new moter also. Since your already spending 100 bucks. A good moter that smokes the stock moter is the Tacon 3674-540XL-6T Brushless Motor 2800KV.

I would go for the upgrade regardless. The stock combo is marginal at best IMO.

Exactly... It would be nice to have more tire choices with those wheels.

That is not true. Mine fit Traxxas, Proline, Duratrax and Dynamite tires. All the tires that Proline's beadlocks fit mine. Same company made them, shouldn't be any different.

My bet is that is more of a disclaimer than anything. By saying only stock tires that keeps them from dealing with returns when somone finds out that an off the wall tire wont work and keeps them from having to R&D every tire out there to see if it works. So IMO what this translates into is any tire that will fit a stock wheel. One just has to be aware of the bead style of the tires they purchase for use with beadlock wheels.

    W - O - W @ $110 for a pair wheels...You could get 2 new sets of wheels and TIRES for $110.

I'm sure the aluminun wheels will out live the 4x4 but I couldn't justify the benefit for the cost cause I go thru 2 sets of tires a month while raing on a high bite indoor track

I just took a good look at the add. It says 4x so that probably means you are getting four wheels for the price. So that is really not a bad deal. Four wheels for $100.00 , that will last you the life of your truck. Just replace the tires as needed. It will save money in the long run.

You got a point there El Sob. Full set for $100 vs $50 for the proline plastic. I just might dive in here the next time I need some beadlocks whcih will be this season with my son running too.
