The SRT suspension is shared with the nitro rustler the only thing the slash and SRT share is the rear a-arms. I would get titanium hinge pins bc the material traxxas uses is very weak. The slash hinge pin kit will work with an exception to the front caster block(where is attaches to the outer a arm) and steering spindle( where the pins goes through the front axle) as the SRT uses thicker hinge pins there (has harry already stated haha). You can purchase the size you need off of Lunsford but the stock ones in this area seem to not bend very easily especially when you upgrade to a rd logic aluminium caster block. If you want upgrade anything for the nitro rustler with work( only the non nitro stuff of course haha).

Btw this is the size and number of hinge pins you'll need for the SRT and should be available from Lunsford.
    hinge pins 1/8"
    44mm x2 front bulkhead pin
50mm x2 rear suspension mount pin
    26mmx2 steering king pin
31.5mm x4 outer front and rear a arm pin

i run aftermarket hinge pins because the stockers are as soft as butter. they bend like palm trees in a hurricane.

RPM Slash 4x4 rear hub carriers
    RD racing aluminum caster blocks
Front TRX bumper (got destroyed in crash)
4 new pro line 2.2" road hawg tires

Now I'm looking into new lipo batteries and charger

I put the original SRT rear a-arms back on the truck and I noticed all my hinge pins are bent.
    I never noticed it before.
They arent overly bent... is it a big deal ?

That's normal with traxxas pins. Up above is a list of hinge pins you need by size you can ordered from Lunsford.

I would be more concerned if they weren't bent. The stock hinge pins seem to be made from a very mild steel and bend with little effort. A set of Lunsfords will cure that for good.

What lipo and charger did you get?

I got the replacement bumper, RPM rear hub carriers and 2s LiPo battery+charger...
Now all I need is a good ESC and motor.
I know many of you recommended the VXL-3s system to me and I am leaning towards that, but if there is something better for the track, I would like to hear it. I dont plan to use my SRT as a basher anymore, just nice surfaces and tracks. Harry? SRTRacer?

The best is the Tekin RS series hands down. I will not use anything else but Tekin. Expensive yes but it pays itself off with amazing performance and quality.

    in a word:

    YES!

tekin is pretty much the top of the pile right now followed closely by viper and a few others. i dont think their motors are that special but the esc's are.

Tekin motors are also amazing. They are completely enclosed and are more torque base with a smooth powerband. A turbo/timing boost 7.5t is just sick fast. Btw you can get RS pro combo off tower for 250.00

that depends on where you stand on that idea of an open or enclosed motor. imo it was fine when you still had a comm and brushes mere inches from the ground at 25+ mph so it shouldn't be an issue running a brushless motor that only has 1 moving part

My buddy got his entire Reaktor motor full of sand and it failed.
    What is a "turbo/timing boost"?

So would the 13t be the one to get?

Been playing with the shocks and different weight oils and decided the 50 weight oil in my srt's shocks is way too thick with only 2 holes in the piston. I bought some different weight oils to test what I like... 25# 40# and 50#
I want to try 25 in the front with a 40 in the rear. Is everyone using the stock "white" spring up front?

I ran stock white front and green rear springs, big bores with 2-hole pistons and 35wt. Associated oil on all four corners.

    Thumbs up

I'm enjoying a new table I just built for my RC cars

E-maxx, its the copperhead 540 4-pole brushless system.

I just put #25 on the front shocks. The old stuff was black.
    Much smoother action now.
Later tonight or tomorrow I'll do the rear shocks with #35 like harry suggests

When I took apart the gearbox today I noticed the middle nylon gear is seeing heavy ware.
Its like the rustler VXL slipper clutch shaft steel gear is beating down on the nylon.
Is it the Traxxas 3195X Top Gear Machined 22T delrin gear that I can replace the steel one with?
Is the Delrin much stronger than the nylon gear?

Delrin is the most strongest plastic you can get. Supposedly was design to be close to the strength of steel. I'm not sure which gear you're talking about but you can go full vxl transmission gears or get the delrin top gear 3195x and the aluminium idler 1992x

    rd has em, emaxx2.0.
I want to get the titanium hinge pins but Lundsford's website only offers kits, so I cannot specifically choose the sizes I need... What did you guys do?

You can try calling Lunsford. I provided the size of each hinge pin you'll need at the top of this page.

The SRT got new Delrin top gear and steel idler in the transmission

Also installed the 1 degree rear suspension arm mounts with 1 degree shim
Replaced the u-joints in my shafts and swapped them around because dirt had clotted up inside the shafts and made it to where they would not slide in and out.

Oiled up the bearings and charging up the battery for a test drive
