Hey guys. I see a bunch of different options for clutch shoes from different makers. I see there are aluminum shoes and adjustable kits like buku from rbmods.net
Does traxxas make a better clutch for bashing than stock?
Are there any recommendations you guys have for after market ones over traxxas?
Running a 3.3 on a older 2.5 chassis
The mip clutch shoes and spring work well with a 3.3.
If you want to spend the coin for Buku clutch I highly recommend it.
No slipper/tall gearing/power = broken parts.
Thanks, do aluminum clutch shoes burn up more quickly and what type of maintenance is required? I am reading that the stock carbon pads are no maintenance and may be an easier ride.
Is the maintenance worth the performance or is there any change in performance? I am pretty happy with the power I have now believe it or not
Thanks so much for the help fellas
if I remember when I was on here more regularly the aluminum shoes would mushroom...so to speak. I have used them before I didnt have any problems but I use the mip now. They seem to be pretty durable
All Aluminum clutches need maintenance as they wear, if you get the BuKu clutch get the composite one foe $10 more, there have been a bunch of happy people using them.
It's what I'm buying when I go BB.
Look out for the tree/crunch!
LiPo? Naw NITRO!!
