Thumbs up Anyone see the new XL-5?

They removed the HUGE heat sink and covered the Fets like the XL 2.5. Very Cosmopolitan!

yea they have a new VXL-3s Esc also that has a cap bank and the heat sink is sideways. There's also a new version of the VXL motor. I'm hearing its 4-pole but not sure. I seen it and it has the braiding on the wires also.

The real question is, will it run cooler or warmer than the old one.

None of my XL-5 ESCs' heatsinks ever got hot, even running more voltage than spec'd. I always wondered about the need for them.

They are under the Products tab in the Traxxas homepage, the VXL looks more bulky while I like the new XL-5. I wonder if the brains have been updated at all.
