Found this in my facebook feed and laughed, so I'll share it here.
My brother stole my wheels for his R/C car so I went hunting through all my old wheels... JK I sold my old wheels to him, still sounded good. So I tried just for laugh to put 1/10 sedan rims on it.
Settled on these previously used wheels.
New wheels and other goodies coming soon. Looks like a friday or saturday delivery.
nice tires and rims!
are you going to gear down?
Working on it. Trying to figure I want to go to. Im at 23/50 and with the last set of wheel I was alittle too hot.
Still no temp gun but seen a thing online that said if you can keep your finger on it for more then 2 seconds, you're good. Well I could do that but 3-3.5 seconds was way too much.
I'm love with your MERV, don't mind me asking... what's the $ damage $ so far?
Thanks. I was keeping track for awhile and then gave up. Keep in mine all my stuff was bought new and I even had to get a new charger system for it, bought better tools, storage system for parts.
Id say Im just over a grand. Thats including everything related to it minus the GoPro. Thats been for car videos too.

Well...Went bashing today and it was the first real run on the new wheels. I tweaked my suspension slightly (pink spring removed for black. Blue rear remained unchanged)
Well....The truck is set up perfect. These wheels are perfect for how I run. the suspension rolls well and I only traction flipped once.
But....Then I was racing along with my friends 4x4 Slash. And hit a curb at almost full speed on a 3s pack.
Point of Impact.

I did the same thing to my merv the night before last. Except I hit a city trash bin head on with 2s! Lol that's the second time i've done it. I had the go pro mounted to the roof and the extra weigh really stresses the chassis right there!
Did it snap the ends off your bulkhead too??
Yep....Just the ends.
The steering stuff took the most damage on my hit.
Rebuild should begin tonight.
Been there; it's not that bad swapping the chassis; I installed chassis braces from The Toyz after. T-Bone skid shield will be bought soon.
And broke a second chassis. Same place.
Heh that was quick. Such a pain!! Hopefully that's all you broke again though.
I would go t bone and aluminum bulkheads. That would make it stronger
Hi geckoboy86, is your metal gear servo . . . servo? Cause thinking of getting one for my MERV. Thks

1/16 E Revo VXL
Aluminum brace installed.
And @ ket2175, Yes.
Still on the hunt for new wheels. Looking between Jconcept Rulux, DE and Proline Desperados. Maybe the HPI rims again.
Tire is a whole other mess when I get there. The only thing I will not do so far is stretch buggy dirthawgs on an HPI rim.
This makes me want to get a merv
I'll take that as a complement. Thanks.
Just had an amazing time out with my family. Cousin had his Mamba Slash 4x4 and Summit, I had my SumMERV, Brother had his Stampede and 1/16 Slash, and my dad had his 1/16 Rally.
Best part is I didnt break anything. Bad part is I tried out my old orange wheels with my new suspension setup and they work well, very well...
Still not a fan of that tire though, but they treated me well.

thats a good idea to put a hole in the hood scoop to cool the motor cool wheels and body
New Rims for my Dad's Rally
New Rims for the SumMERV
Old body back
My Brother's Slash with a Buggy conversion with mini LST wheels.
Sometimes words just don't cut it.
That thing looks cool!
Curious...is the rooftop light bar molded into the body or is it actually a separate piece that bolts to the body?
"Dude,I almost had you"
R.I.P Paul Walker
last few shots look amazing! love it
MERV - 3S 23/50
Revo 3.3 - stock
Thanks guys. And unfortunately, it's molded.
Looks great gecko!!!
Had a halo comment on another forum so bam
Haha wow, that body and the colour, and those wheels and tires maaaan that is one purrrrrdy Merv! Well done dude! =)
Oh man that is awesome!
Love Master Chief
No tape used.
Well...I broke my steering link a bit ago. Thats nows fixed. HR aluminum.
And I got a new heatsink. This time it has a fan.
And I changed my tire direction to the wrong way. Now it handles the way and offers the amount of traction that I want.
Speed pinion is back on to help deal with these bigger wheels.
The new body handles flips very well. Doesnt look too bad. My brother's 1/16th Slash took a hit from a Stampede VXL on a 3S pack.
Trenchers on preorder!
New Tx Wheel
For easy teardown
Noticed a rear wheel wobble. This was to blame.
