Unhappy DR-1 problem/s out of the box

    Greetings fellow enthusiasts and Traxxas.
Today I went to my local hobby store and picked up the DR-1 Heli.
After walking through the initial set up steps of charging the lipo, installing, etc, I was ready to go.
So, upon getting everything turned on and preparing to fly, I find the top blades were not spinning, but the lower ones were.
Upon further inspection for the purposes of troubleshooting, I found that the motor for the top set was not spinning.
And after an even closer look I found that the red wire was not even attached to the motor.
It looks like it was soldered in-house, but apparently not enough exposed wire to keep it in place.
Of my four Traxxas product purchases over the last 6 years (Revo 2007, Slash 2010, Stampede 2012, DR-1 2013), this is a first to have faulty labor.
So I'm looking for options here.
Should I just take it back to my hobby store or should I attempt to deal with Traxxas directly?
    Thanks for your input.

I would take it back to the store.

Take it to the hobby shop see if they can help you. If not deal with Traxxas.

Took it back in this afternoon and got the wire soldered back on at no cost. Flies great now.
