So i bought a used jato 3.3 not to long ago. Its very clean in great condition but for some reason i have noticed it almost sounds kind of like a grinding noise when engine idles. Is this normal and what could I do to fix this issue? It run fine just for some reason I dont think it should make that sound.
Check the clutch.
would the clutch be making a light grinding noise while in motion?
It could be the gear mesh between the clutch bell and spur gear. Sometimes when the mesh is to tight it makes a grinding noise.
Jato 3.3, Revo .28 JL Max, Nitro Stampede 3.3
i think that is actually the clutch its self?
i would just look at the gear mesh and make sure its fine, if so then your gonna have to take the clutch out and make sure its fine.
make sure the spur gear is in line and the engine mount has not been broken i did this on a t maxx 2.5r
very true riley, my tmaxx engine mount broke and made almost a raddling grinding sound, sounded pretty bad actually. let us know what you find out Sadler!
