While waiting for the finishing parts for my CNC Mill and having nothing else to do I decided to
design a chassie for my Rustler. The chassie is going to be milled out of 4mm aluminum and
the pockets are going to be 2mm deep.
Constructive criticism is welcome.

Just make it out of 3mm & avoid the machining
What the notch on the left for? that may catch on things?
Looks awesome! I made one by hand with some 3/16 aluminum. It didn't turn out near as good as yours will
To the men and women of the US military, thank you
The notch on the side is for a Mamba Monster Esc because on the origanal chassie it hangs over.
You do have a point with the chassie getting caught so Ill either get rid of it of diagonally connect it to the side.
I guess you can call this Rev 2.
that looks good if I had access to equipment Id go for it
push that notch on the side and that thing would be sick. maybe anodize it too.
The standard body may require a slight mod to fit on that chassis, because it comes right down on the side of the regular chassis.
I'd get the weight of the motor-esc combo you'll use and look at the overall weight balance left-to-right. That extra aluminum on the left, plus a mamba monster, plus a large motor, may make the truck too left-heavy. You could compensate by adding a little extra aluminum to the right, or by moving the battery slot to the right.
What program are you using?
That's gonna be one strong heavy chassis. You could probably cut down a lot of the wings, where there would be nothing mounted, to save weight.
Thanks for the input,
as of weight distribution ive decided to mount the MMM in the middle of the chassie
over where the battery is going to go.
