No, not at this moment but I still have my Rally GT8 to play around with I think I push that MMP way too much and didn't like the 1/8 motor?

I know that feeling not to have rc to play with, you get bored to death this is one reason I build another RC just incase one not running.

just finished painting the body with Plastidip brand Matte Black

simple tip, after your done painting and all dry and ready to peel off the window mask, trace the window mask first with hobby knife or the paint goes off with the mask.

I was thinking of making a chassis brace low profile and I come up with this idea with parts I already have.

XO-1 top brace and nitro revo motor mount brace

the adapter screws from the inside where the telemetry cover screw was using longer screw, I know my motor mount is stock plastic but this should work until I get my HR aluminum motor mount

Very nice man. As you know I got tons of parts left over from the xo-1 roller was looking at it a few days ago thinking of trying to make a brace for my build from the xo-1 brace. Awesome work buddy. You've inspired me once again!!

And come to think of it man, slap a go pro flat adhesive mount on that brace. Screw it down and you got a perfect go pro mount.

yeah that brace might come handy one day lol

I think I'm gonna do the same with my GT8 go hybrid CVD which means I have to order XO rear carriers, F/R stub axles, 17mm adapter, XO driveshaft rebuild kit and Pro Trac arms

Edit: just ordered F/R stub axles and driveshaft rebuild kit.

Great tip! I was planning on painting a body on the outside as well for the frozen color look.

One is the brace. No longer using the blue plate. And it looks much better this way 👍

Oh and you soldered a single TRX connector rather than series.

nice catch there Stephan81 woke up early this morning thinking why not use the rest of the XO-1 brace and get rid of the blue one to give that uniform look lol the ESC is used and in very good condition, opened it up to clean a little bit and deleted the switch as well, and took out the series wire (black wire). plug in my USB programming, updated the firmware and change some settings.

Do you use torque limiting by chance? Or mess with throttle curves?

Installed the same system into my slash today. Except a neu motor, the one you had recommended to me they wouldn't ship to Canada when I contacted them.

Im well. Started getting itchy for a rally a few weeks back. To a quick inventory of parts needed...... all my bats are junk. Just gotta find some time to work my love, (r/c), back into the schedule!!!!
I see the hybrids being used in many builds with sl4sh and p4de too. Seems we all have a shaft setup we can count on. I've bent a few dog bones back when Tekno first put the m6 set out but that was when the were a but short and fell out of the cups from our suspension extending in full. If you were on the power at the moment the bone was coming out, it would bend.
I've stopped in the forum here and there to look in on the builds .....always seeing yours progress. Its certainly gone threw some cool changes. Traxxas has to be happy with all the fine work and custom builds coming from their base chassis and ideas. This thread here captures the full spectrum of this rc's potential. Excellent creativity!!!!!
//anyone calling this style car a name yet// its a rally rather than slash so it can't be a backslash......Rallyback sounds smooth lol..and keeping the word back in there gives the impression of a backslash, members will most likely connect the 2 quickly ..... just a thought..

wow that's a bummer, they don't ship to Canada on them. I normally leave most to default but bump the LVC to 3.4V and BEC to 6.0V then change firmware to 1.46 and throttle curve down a bit at start up this way on speed run I can full throttle at start and the ESC do its job to ease off this part then burst.

no fun at all, I think I overly done my build, I need to control myself lol, so far I have spent almost $300 to look like how it is now.

just to list of all I've done......

    parts I already have:
    - LCG chassis
    - center driveshaft
    - toe/camber links
    - A-arms
    - F/R diff housing
    - front bulk head (got RPM anyway)
    - tekno 17mm adapters
    - tekno rear carriers
    - bearings
    - aluminum bearing adapter
    - XO-1 front splitter/diffuser/bumper/body post
    - XO-1 shock tower (both rear towers)
    - XO-1 center brace mod
    - 2 GTR suspensions
    - set of screws
    - 2650kv motor (overseas)
    - XO-1 set of wheels/tires

    parts I bought,

    - used MM
    - XO-1 c-hub/steering hub
    - XO-1 front diff
    - XO-1 I bar
    - 1 stock diff
    - 2070 servo
    - extended battery hold down
    - rear bulkhead
    - RPM front bulkhead
    - rally front bumper/body post (no use)
    - stock steering bell crank
    - stock motor mount/plate
    - revo slipper clutch assembly
    - OFNA wing and wing mount
    - JConcept high flow RC8e buggy body
    - 4 Tekno dogbones
    - 4 tekno drive cups
    - E/T Maxx hinge pins

and since I'm doing my Hybrid CVD, I have to order more...

    - XO-1 driveshaft rebuild kit
    - XO-1 F/R stub axles
    - XO-1 rear carriers
    - XO-1 17mm adapters
    - PL Pro Trac arms

Thanks bro! I forgot to mention a couple of things I need to buy lol, HR motor mount, slayer push rods. So I guess around $370-390 (cost may vary depending on what you already have, that's just my guesstimate) you can convert a R4lly or Sl4sh to a BackSlash monster speedster lol.

just order the pro trac arms so now, all I need are XO-1 rear carriers and 17mm adapters.

got a chance to run yesterday for the first time on 4wd, it was kinda scary. as the car passes by me I can see the front wheels wobble so I cant give it full throttle so I stop and go home. there so much play up front from servo side and c-hubs, arms causing the unstable run. I will get rid of the play before I get to run it again.

I've decided to take apart my Tekno 17mm adapters and sell them to make profit and use that toward buying the XO-1 rear carriers and 17mm adapters.
