yeah I know what you mean by little back and forth play but, my concern is with too much slipping I think the spur could melt so I have it on the tight side

    I'm liking what I'm seeing!

If you are further modifying your existing towers, it would look finished if you de anodized them and polished them up.

    Or re anodize them

Nice to have on hand. I have many blank aluminum sheets from my computer modding days as well as real car modding. Nothing blue anodized however

I was looking at this on ebay, and wondering how it fit in as it looks like a person could just cut one out of carbon fiber blank sheet, provided it's the right thickness.

I was talking about this on someone's thread were the front c-hub pin use e-clips and found out to be a bit short so, I had this idea of using t-maxx pin and cut it to length just enough to protrude to the aluminum C-hub. let the pictures do the talking

    cut to length

upon fitting it I noticed its a bit larger than stock pin which is perfect to get rid of play

stock on left and that washer wont fit on t-maxx pin.

    all done.

I also braced up the rear tower with the existing one
    before:

    after:

before I put the brace I can see flex a little bit but now that brace is there I get 0 flex

now that I have the front pin mod, I don't have that rocking play.

I didn't like the way my first receiver tray mounted in there so, I cut/shape the remaining t-maxx chassis.

No, I have always intrigued by them, however was hesitant as I felt they would get banged and scraped up at the bottom of the chassis.

    Silver, maybe

i guess I'd be the first one to have one lol and not have to worry about getting it all scratch up since my bottom all covered up

I haven't run mine with GPS lately, so decided to run it today and I don't know if I mentioned this already but I change my spur to 38T instead of 36T, so gearing at 20T/38T..... I got 69.07mph but seems like if I could stretch it longer it can go 75mph.

did another run today after work and this happen to me.

the crash looks bad as it hit to the curb but all I find on the body is a small scratch on my gorilla tape, good thing I did that

with all my crashes and blow over this is the part I didn't inspect, oh well.....this would be a good excuse for an upgrade

Considering how quick this car moves, it could have been significantly more severe. I'm very glad she's OK.

Yeah, I'm just glad it didn't happen at full speed.
Took it apart last night so that I dont have to do alot when my HR bulkhead shows up and I order the STRC aluminum bellcrank.

yeah, with all the speed this cars can do, crashes can happen unexpectedly

the more I see the 1/8 low profile bandito tires, the more I really want them I bet it would look nice with the scalpel body

Better to find that extra damage now than to think you have it all fixed and then have more downtime later on because something got missed.

I think the Banditos would be a great choice...give it some extra scale appeal !!

your welcome!! I find the stock pin a tad bit smaller so it has a tiny play/wobble and on top of that you have to put a spacer/washer to get rid of the back and forth play on the C-block. move on to the steering hub, it has up and down play as well so for now I use Teflon washer on the top shoulder screw.

Received my HR aluminum bulkhead LCG today, here are some following pics,

one thing for sure its machined finish and not mold

its a bit on the thin side about 1mm thick, HR could have rib along the edges

also they didn't have the lip as it meet/contact to the chassis

    compare to stock

what I like about it is, you can take it apart in two pieces, so the steering bellcrank stays in.

Looks like a nice piece. The segmented assembly is like the RPM one.
